Sehen Sie den wunderschönen Mirabellgarten, in dem das Lied „Do-Re-Mi“ gedreht wurde. Nach oder vor der Teilnahme an der Tour empfehlen wir, die Gärten auf eigene Faust zu besichtigen und den Pegasus-Brunnen sowie die Do-Re-Mi-Stufen zu erkunden.
Sie kommen am Kloster Nonnberg vorbei, wo Maria Novizin war und Baron von Trapp heiratete.
Der nächste Fotostopp sind die Gärten von Schloss Hellbrunn, wo Sie den Glaspavillon besuchen, der im Film für die Kussszene von Maria und Baron von Trapp verwendet wurde.
Genießen Sie die atemberaubende Aussicht bei einem Fotostopp am Leopoldskronsee, der das Schloss widerspiegelt, in dem die berühmte Bootsszene gedreht wurde.
Dann weiter zum Wolfgangsee. Genießen Sie bei einem kurzen Fotostopp den Blick auf den Wolfgangsee und hinunter nach St. Gilgen.
Sie haben ca. 1 Stunde Freizeit in Mondsee, wo Sie die Möglichkeit haben, die berühmte Basilika St. Michael zu besichtigen, in der die Hochzeit von Maria und Baron von Trapp gedreht wurde.

Considering I booked this as a gift to my wife, I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and seeing the rest of the group enjoy it as well. Josh ranks I. The top two of my global tour guides. He’s knowledgable, funny, and professional. The entire bus sang a long and participated. His personal passion and interest in the Sound of Music story was a value add. My wife who is a big fan smiled the entire time and was the first to every site like a kid in a candy store. The lunch added a nice twist. It took a little long, they apologized and comped our drinks. Glad we chose that option too. The food was great….considering it wasn’t Louisiana cooking.

The tour was nice and fun. April and our driver Ferdinand did a great job of getting us around town. You are on the bus for quite a while. The meal after the tour was good, but you had to find the place -about a 10 minute walk.

Absolutely loved the Original Sound of Music Tour. If you are visiting Salzburg and are a SoM fan, this tour is a must! We opted for the Schnitzel and Noodle tour which has a three course lunch afterwards. Although the food was good, I wish we had just done the tour. The restaurant is across the river and several blocks away from where the tour ends and we had to hurry to get there in time.

This was such a fun experience! I grew up watching The Sound of Music with my mother and then watched it with my children. Simon gave us interesting facts about the filming of the movie. He really added to the experience. 10/10 would recommend this tour.

Lovely tour! Loved our tour guide David and our driver Hackie! We did it as a day trip from Munich, which I may not recommend. Very long day and unless you’re very comfortable with the train system, it may cause some stress. Salzburg was beautiful - hope to visit again someday.

This is a wonderful way to learn more about the making of The Sound of Music while enabling you to see some of the sights of Salzburg. David, our tour guide was very entertaining, particularly during the 'Lonely Goatherd'. Ferdinand, our driver did a marvellous job of safely navigating the roads. Make sure you take photos along the way to Mondsee as the tour returns via a different route, and you won't get a chance to take photos on the return journey. The sing along is a fun aspect of the tour. We finished with The Sound of Music meal at Restaurant Herzl, which was delicious.
