Offbeat Mekong : 4 - Day Escape - Multi Outdoor-Aktivitäten.

We have just completed a 3 day cycle and what an experience. We saw the real Vietnam, met locals and ate and stayed with local people. My husband did a tour 9 years ago with the same company and has been waiting to re-live the experience. It was everything he told me and more. Thank you. We will be back one day.

WE meet lots of local people. We saw a great landscape. Mekongdelta. We meet nice pupils. We had great meals. It was funny.

The perfect way to tour the rural districts of the Mekong Delta. Our guide (Hoàng) was very knowledgeable, friendly, and organized. The bikes were in excellent condition, and our driver (Ciau - Hope I’ve spelled it right!) very professional and timely with our meet ups and much needed refueling snacks and hydration. The homestays were very clean and comfortable and all the food along the way was delicious, varied, and authentic. If you want to get off the beaten track and enjoy getting a lot of exercise as you go, this is the trip for you!!

My friend and had an unforgettable four days of cycling and kayaking in the Mekong Delta, thanks to our wonderful guide, Bao, who not only took care of all the logistics of the trip, and amswered all our questions about the cultures and peoples of the region, but also helped us chat with many of the locals we met along the way. Highlights of the trip included the visting the floating markets at dawn, kayaking at sunrise, and the tour of a former Viet Cong guerilla base. Even though we did the trip during the rainy season, we were minimally impacted as we could always duck into a roadside coffeeshop for a quick nap while the rain passed. The difficulty level and distance could also be adjusted which was great given that I had little prior cycling experience. If you're interested in learning a little Vietnamese during your trip, Bao was super willing to teach us useful words and phrases, and even shared some great Vietnamese pop music with us. Since he speaks Mandarin in addition to being fluent in English, we could chat in all both languages! Highly recommend this tour and be sure to request Bao as your guide!

An absolutely amazing experience despite a price tag. Despite being Vietnamese myself and an avid cyclist, Bao's personalised tour was an absolute delight that showed me parts of the country I have never before seen that also pushed me physically. One of the highlights of the trip was Bao's intimate knowledge of the surrounding area that allowed him to spontaneously create routes that were both challenging whilst also allowing me to soak up the local scenery. His photography was also amazing! Bao was very professional throughout the tour and was very accomodating to the diverse needs and requirements of the tour group. Bao certainly went the extra mile to ensure that everyone was comfortable and enojoying themselves and he made a genuine effort to connect with people within the tour group. Chau was a very professional driver that was friendly and accomodating. There were many times where unexpected pit stops were needed and Chau was very polite and professional in accomodating unexpected stops. The bikes were serviceable, future tour groups may benefit from spending more time have bikes personally fitted.

It was quite an experience. I went with my 13 year old daughter and we loved it. The cycling was hot and sweaty but we saw a part of Vietnam life that we would never have seen. Bau was an amazing guide and explained a lot along the way and looked after us. His love of cycling and the country was clear! Would really recommend him and the driver.

We are a 53 and 58 year old, relatively active couple, who thought a bike trip would be fun. We peloton but hadn’t been on a road bike in over 20 years. What could go wrong? With Bao as our guide, not one thing!!!! He was funny, attentive, knowledgeable and caring. This trip was amazing because of our guide, Bao and our driver, Chao. We originally saw Vietnam through our own eyes but quickly started to see it through theirs. What a beautiful country we saw. We were challenged and we were rewarded. The sights were non-stop as was the delicious dishes of food!!! The people were friendly and a pleasure to meet ( with Bao translating). We cannot wait for our next trip with our new, favorite guide. Do not hesitate to take this tour. You’ll enjoy every minute once you start peddling.

We, my wife, daughter en me, have enjoyed ourselves a lot during the cycle trip through the Mekong Delta. Away from the crowds and an impression of the countryside. Also great thanks to our enthusiastic and friendly guide Bao, who showed us around and gave us a wonderful experience! He made sure there were enough stops along the way and provided us with a lot of information of the local way of life :-) We would definitely recommend this trip, amazing!

Excellent tour, led by interesting and knowedgable guides. Cycling was fun and they were flexible should anything go awry.

Outstanding way to explore and experience the countryside, local villages and the Mekong Delta. I travelled with my two sons (age 11 and 16) and where lucky to have Chau as our personal tour-guide for 3 days. We bicycled the most amazing places, visited lots of fantastic local villages and markeds for food, drinks, candy, looking at local specialities, crocodiles, rice and fruitfarms. Got up early to sail into the Mekong to experience the most fantastic sunrise, helped cook our own dinner at local homestoy and lots more. I truly recommend to have Countryside Adventure to make a trip suited for your specific needs.
