Reiseverlauf

The tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate about his job and his passengers! It was a pleasure to be a part of the tour! Additionally, anything we had issues with he dealt with calm and assistance, and was very kind! The tour itself was great and very well planned!
It's a long and expensive day (£500 for an adult with a 14 and a 16 year old, if you include the optional meals and zipwire), and it's 14 hours on the bus (with stops). However, the tour guide was very good, enthusiastic and informative, and the sights were varied and interesting. If they could shave-off approx. 20% of all the different costs, it would be a no-brainer.
We went on the tour on 23.07.26 and whilst it’s a bit expensive and it is a long day, it’s worth every penny. Yes there is a lot of driving but the views are spectacular and it doesn’t really feel like a long day. Our guide, Igor was brilliant, very informative and helpful. Thank you to the driver too! Igor arranged for us to be dropped off in Risan which meant we could get a bus back to Herceg Novi where we are staying easily. Wear comfortable clothing, take a thin jacket and trainers are advised although not essential - I can see how the weather may change so worth taking an additional layer. The monastery was the highlight for me, a must see that we probably wouldn’t have seen unless we went on this tour. For thrill seekers the zip wire was great. Lunch was as another highlight at Hotel Nordic; great choice of food, reasonably priced. Definitely recommend this tour!
We had an amazing experience on this tour! A huge thank you to Miloš for being such a knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining guide. He made the long journey enjoyable with fascinating stories, local insights, and great recommendations. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommended!
This was a long day—more than 12 hours—but it was absolutely worth it. Black Lake was stunning, Ostrog Monastery was peaceful and deeply impressive, and the mountain scenery along the way was breathtaking. We were also fortunate to witness a religious ceremony at the monastery, which made the visit even more memorable. The only disappointment was that Tara Bridge was under construction, so it wasn't possible to get a full view of the bridge from a distance. The zipline looked incredibly exciting, although I decided not to try it. A special thanks to our guide, Slavko Karadzic. He was professional, responsible, and had a great sense of humor throughout the day. Despite the long journey, he kept the tour engaging and enjoyable from start to finish. I highly recommend this tour!
An amazing day trip and definitely one of the highlights of my visit to Montenegro. The scenery in Durmitor National Park was breathtaking, and Ostrog Monastery was truly unique and unforgettable. Our guide Nikolà was friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and shared many interesting facts about Montenegro throughout the journey. Everything was well organized, and despite the long day, it was absolutely worth it.
Fab experience! Tour guide Slav was brilliant, very engaging. Black Lake was stunning! Great to see more of Montenegro
We booked this tour based on the reviews on viator so we were aware of the longest journey. We booked it on Saturday and the monestry visit was cancelled in advance because of the crowd over the weekend. We had limited days in Montenegro and so we were upset however, the monestry point/time was replaced with scenic beauty which made everyone happy at the end. It was informed well advance still the entire bus was full. Only issue we faced was with the pick up point which was not clear to us that its their office in the castle where everyone should report first but we waited 20 minutes outside on/near the local bus stop and nearly missed it if my partner didnt ask the driver/guide for the issue when he brought everyone on that bus stop to get in the bus. We were always picked up for other tours in other countries directly on the road/stop when name is confirmed. However, other people on the bus confirmed that they particularly asked about the pick up point in message and we thought its the location mentioned on the iternary/main booking page only so we could have missed it.
It was an amazing day and especially Milo was very enthusiastic and shared a lot of stories and history about the places we visited. It was really a long day and without an amazing guide like him it would have been so boring
We had a lovely time, our guide was excellent. Highly recommended.
