Ankunft in Perast, Bootsfahrt zur Insel Our Lady of the Rocks
Die Legende besagt, dass die Insel im Laufe der Jahrhunderte von einheimischen Seeleuten errichtet wurde, die einen alten Eid ablegten, nachdem sie am 22. Juli 1452 die Ikone von Madonna und dem Kind auf dem Felsen im Meer gefunden hatten. Nach ihrer Rückkehr von jeder erfolgreichen Reise wurden sie legte einen Stein in die Bucht. Im Laufe der Zeit tauchte die Insel allmählich aus dem Meer auf. Der Brauch, Steine ins Meer zu werfen, ist auch heute noch lebendig. Jedes Jahr am Sonnenuntergang des 22. Juli findet eine Veranstaltung namens "Fašinada" statt, bei der die Anwohner ihre Boote nehmen und Steine werfen, um die Oberfläche der Insel zu verbreitern. Neben der Kirche aus dem 17. Jahrhundert gibt es auch ein Museum mit Geschenken, die hauptsächlich von Seeleuten und Kapitänen gespendet wurden, die die Stürme, Schlachten und lange Zeit auf offener See erlebt hatten.
Wir besuchen den Hauptplatz mitten in Perast mit der St.-Nikola-Kirche und ihrem beeindruckenden 55 Meter hohen Glockenturm. Von dort aus setzen wir unseren Spaziergang etwa 1 Kilometer entlang der Uferpromenade fort und bewundern die wunderschöne Architektur des 17. und 18. Jahrhunderts, bis wir auf das Fahrzeug treffen, das darauf wartet, uns zurück nach Kotor zu bringen.

Our tour of Kotor and Perast with Olena was absolutely wonderful. Igor was simply the best. I asked for photos and landscapes and he delivered. He must have connections as he summoned a breeze cleared the traffic got an ugly boat to move and even found me the perfect take home piece of glass. Not so much a tour as a "please share the beauty of where i live" experience. You must visit Igor if you visit Kotor.
Igor, our guide from 360 Monte was outstanding. He was very warm and friendly and accommodating to our group's goals for the tour. He was very knowledgable in the history of the area. Kotor and Perast were absolutely beautiful areas. It was well worth the excursion! I would definitely request Igor if I was touring again!

A very nice excursion. Our guide, Igor, was very good , full of information and quite helpful in helping to skip lines. Another huge advantage of a private tour. We went to Perast and to an elevated photo op location. The traffic on the main (only) road connecting to the port is awful, the only downside of the trip. But Igor kept us entertained. Highly recommend.
