We had a fabulous holiday. We booked it directly through Tour Egypt Club and their organiser, Lily, was really helpful and responsive, both before the holiday and during it, staying in contact on whatsapp while we were in Egypt and making sure we had everything we needed. Our Dahabiya was called Turquoise and it was a really beautiful boat, nicely decorated, and up on deck was a really peaceful place. The bedrooms were good too. Comfortably beds and enough room, although it did get a bit warm at night. The food on board was amazing! And the staff were friendly and helpful but also unobtrusive. We were 16 passengers in total which was a nice number - enough for company but a small enough group to make things manageable whenever we disembarked to go to visit temples or tombs. Our tour guide was Mr Haggag who was very knowlegable and friendly. Thoroughly recommended. All in all it was great trip.
Wasn't sure what to expect when we booked this, but to our delight found the rooms to be large, ensuite showers, brilliantly comfortable beds, spotlessly clean. Plus really attractively designed boat on 3 levels, plentiful space to relax and watch the Nile pass by. Also, super-friendly staff, excellent food, lots of music and dancing to add (uf you wanted to!). Just great all round and would totally recommend.
Disclaimer: I didn't travel with them. I had booked a 4 day dahabiya cruise with them via viator, and paid in full. A few days later, It was canceled from their end without any communication/explanation. I went back and checked, and my dates were still available. Needless to say, I booked with someone else, rather than tolerate more unprofessional behaviour.
I think I can safely say that this was one of the most beautiful holidays I have ever had. The places were spectacular and exciting, the difference was made by the assistance we received. On the part of the agency there was a constant presence, for any doubt or perplexity Mariem responded at any time of day or night. Everything perfectly organized, we didn't have to think about anything, our guide, Mr Hassan, in addition to his vast culture proved valuable! He introduced us to Egypt and its treasures with sympathy, constant but very discreet presence, constant assistance and professionalism! What about it? I think my next trip will be with them, no doubt!!!
An incredible cruise, a memorable memory for us 3 (14 years, 52 years and 75 years)! Everything was perfect, the crew very professional, discreet and attentive. We were able to spend a really nice evening with them in music! The calm of the Nile and the crew was in harmony! The tours were very well with our super passionate and exciting Francophone guide! A boat of 12 people for 5 tourists and 2 guides: what a chance! And in addition we ate very well! The little extra: the impeccable rooms cleaned every day with in addition a different funny fold every day clean towels on the bed! Everything was well thought out to make us spend 4 unforgettable days!
We enjoyed the Tour with the Dahabyia "Karnak" so much! It was great, the boot was cosy and phantastic, I could also watch many birds, because the Dahabyia often passed close and silently the bank of the Nil or of an island. The crew was extremely qualified, friendly and we laughed a lot! The food was delicious and to my mind as a nutritionist varied and perfect. Our Guide Gamal was excellent and we learned a lot from him when we visited so many exciting and interesting places within this program of tempels, graves, villages, animal market and so on. It was a great pleasure though it became rather cold in the evenings due to late January. So all in all I can recommend the trip as well as our friendly and patient travel consultant Zahra.
It was such an amazing experience I wish that I stayed longer and I cannot forget Ms Heyam who was a great help and took care of us very will also Mr Iman who was our guide who make our trip rich with information because I think he is a guy who loves what he is doing and have a answer for each question we had
Especially those who are architects will be delighted with the new library of Alexandria. The guide Sam was sensational: gentle, quiet and experienced.
I’ve been home a week and after being in Egypt for 31 days this was by far the highlight of our trip! It was just me, my nephew and son in law for the whole trip, and boy were we spoiled on this beautiful, well maintained Dahabiya called The Loulia. The captain and crew (including tug boat captain) were the nicest group of men ever, always smiling and preforming every aspect of their job with an easy efficient manner. From unfurling the sails, to being there for me when I needed an extra arm getting up steps. (Recent hip surgery). I can not say enough about the chefs meals, I’m vegetarian and at every meal there were so many dishes to try, everything was so fresh with so much flavor that I find my fruits and vegetables lacking in the States now, lol! It was almost to much food, breakfast was quite a spread followed by a delicious lunch and later tea and cookies, when dinner rolled around even if we weren’t hungry hungry we were there at the table to see what chef had come up with for a remarkable dinner experience! Every single thing served was amazing! And now about the egyptologist Mohammed, our tour guide. We learned so much from him, so knowledgeable and friendly, taking time to answer all of my nephews questions. The off boat tours along the way were amazing, he made each site come to life with tons of ancient information that was carved into the stone/marble. Even though it was only 4 nights and 5 days, by the time we were done, everyone on board felt like family. I’m 70 and have traveled a lot and I must say this was my favorite experience ever! If you’re thinking about a boat trip, this is the one, just do it, you will not regret it. And to all the crew and Mohammed, if you’re ever in the states, I’d love to show you Missouri! Thank you, thank you all, sincerely, Belinda.
We had an amazing trip to Egypt as a family of six. From the initial planning, to the arrival, and departure they did an amazing job of ensuring that we were cared for and we’re able to experience as much as possible. Hayam our tour organizer did a great job of taking the places I wanted to go and building a unique itinerary for my family. We traveled between many large cities in Egypt, and she coordinated the transport. I appreciated her quick response in the planning phase, and then once we arrived she checked in with us every day to ensure our trip was going as planned. We were able to experience so much of Egypt and learned so many amazing things about the history. It will be a trip we remember for a lifetime.
