My tour with Imperial Egypt was beyond expectation. The room was clean and neat, and food was just fantastic. The sites we visited were all awesome - magnificant temples and beautiful scenes. Our tour guid, Mr. Hady, is very friendly and knowledgeable. I would bring my family next time to this tour.
We had a wonderful experience on our Nile cruise, and a big part of that was thanks to our excellent guide Hady. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and always made sure that everything ran smoothly throughout the trip. Lovely cruise. We really enjoyed the ancient Egyptian historical sites and stories.
We had an amazing time on the Nile cruise and it exceeded our expectations! Our guide Talaat was amazing and was so knowledgeable on all of the history around the sites. He was very thoughtful and planned our visits so that we would avoid as much of the intense heat as possible during these summer months. The cruise itself was well maintained and the buffet kept the menu new for both lunch and dinner everyday. This was one of my favourite parts about visiting Egypt and I would recommend it to everyone! P.S. this is very much an adventure excursion with very early mornings and packed itineraries. It would not be the best suited for people who want to relax/have lots of down time.
Abdullah from the 24/7 clinic was very helpful to solve my health problem
It had a great time. Seeing the archaeological sites of Ancient Egypt was undescretible our gia was also very nice. I learned a lot about Egypt. The cruise stayed anchored in Assuan for two day and cruise was only one day to Luxor. Most the activities where in land from Assuan or Luxor. Unfortunately the company who runs the cruise was not very good. I had a problem with the socket in my cabin where the mini fridge was. I explained that I need the fridge to keep my insulin. I spent two day complaining and requesting to the situation to be resolved and it wasn't. I asked to change my cabin and I was told there was another available. They changed the fridge 3 times to then find out that was the socket and they couldn't do anything. I had to ask then to plug the mini fridge in another place in the cabin otherwise they would think in a solution. I felt very disappointed. I paid a lot for the cabin as I was travelling alone.
A discovery cruise that allowed us to explore wonderful sites and incredible works along the waters of the Nile from Luxor to Aswan and back. The service on board the Kon Tiki was perfect as well as the comfort of the rooms. We spent 7 dream days.
POSITIVE POINTS The boat was very clean, comfortable, and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The meals were good, varied, and generally of good quality. Our guide was engaging, very friendly, and really made the tours interesting. The pace is quite intense, with wake-ups very early, often around 4 AM, but it is truly worth it because the sites visited are beautiful. NEGATIVE POINTS - No bottled drinking water was included, which is unfortunate given the price of the cruise. One bottle per day per person would have been a minimum. It is sold very expensively at the restaurant. - At the beginning of the trip, we were asked to pay $100 per person to cover all the entrance fees for the sites to be visited. Upon checking, this amount seemed higher than if we had purchased the tickets ourselves (the boat takes a markup...). - The boat collects $20 per person for tips, to avoid having to give individually, but some staff members still ask for money for certain services, such as carrying luggage. - The excursion to the Nubian village, charged at $25, was really not worth the price. We did not visit a school or a house as seemed planned; it was just a simple walk.
I can barely speak English, so I joined with a simultaneous translation app and Katakato English. Hadi talked to me a lot, even if I didn’t speak the language, and included me in the tour, which was very fun and memorable! The people I went on tour with spoke to me a lot, overcoming language barriers, and it was a really fun trip♡ The rice was also delicious! It is important to take care of your physical condition as you walk through the ruins in the intense heat!
This experience was very disappointing and, in my opinion, misleading. You only get around 10 hours of actual sailing time, while the rest of the trip is dominated by long bus journeys. For example, the Abu Simbel excursion required approximately 8 hours of travel by bus in total (round trip). The cruise itself was average. We experienced an issue with the shower drain in our cabin, which required two requests before it was finally fixed. The shower gel also appeared to be diluted with water, and we had to request a refill more than once. The food was acceptable, but nothing special. Do not expect high-quality or particularly memorable meals. One of the bartenders was observed repeatedly picking his nose while serving drinks, which was extremely unhygienic and unpleasant. The hot air balloon activity was poorly managed. We travelled to the site, waited around 30 minutes, and then the activity was cancelled. At the beginning of the trip, when we asked the tour guide about the hot air balloon, he claimed it would be cancelled due to an accident involving tourists the day before. However, we later learned that this was not true and that no such incident had occurred. The tour guide, Talaat Abdo, frequently wasted time and caused repeated delays. He also requested a $30 tip from each guest. However, when we later checked with the cruise staff, we were informed they received only about $3 per guest, suggesting that most of the money was not passed on to the crew. Overall, the schedule was poorly organized, communication was unclear, and the group was consistently delayed by 15–30 minutes. Overall, this experience did not offer good value for money and is not recommended.
Thank you so much for the review. Firstly, the Royal Princess is one of the best boats on the Nile, and we haven't received any complaints about it before. Regarding the bathroom water issue, it's a minor problem and a small mistake on your part. We paid the guide for accommodation so he would always be available to the guests, and if any problem arose, he should be informed so it could be resolved. The water problem is simple if he were aware of it. As for the tips, the guide paid your tips, but you refused to pay them, so the company covered the cost. Regarding the $30, the guide explained the details of the payments to everyone and did not ask you to pay it. Regarding the delays in the visits, you should know that the visits are with a group, and the delays are not the guide's fault but rather due to some of the guests, which happens. In any case, thank you very much for your feedback, and we will always strive to improve.
Mohammed is a professional and kind guide. We had a wonderful trip. Thank you Mohamed, Hanny, the organizer, and Imperial Egypt Co.
