An fünf einzigartigen Stationen begeben Sie sich auf eine Reise durch die dänische Identität – vom traditionellen Smørrebrød über lebhaftes Street Food und moderne nordische Hausmannskost bis hin zum legendären dänischen Gebäck. Jede Station erzählt ein Kapitel der dänischen Geschichte und verbindet Geschichte, Innovation und Alltag zu einer stimmigen kulinarischen Erzählung. Die Tour führt Sie durch zwei der faszinierendsten Stadtviertel Kopenhagens. Sie beginnen in Nyhavn, dem historischen Hafenviertel der Stadt, das einst voller Seeleute, Kaufleute und Handelsschiffe war und heute ein gepflegter, designorientierter Knotenpunkt ist. Anschließend überqueren Sie die Brücke nach Christianshavn, das mit seinen Kanälen, bunten Häusern, historischen Lagerhäusern, Hausbooten und lebhaften Cafés und Bäckereien oft als Kopenhagens „Mini-Amsterdam“ bezeichnet wird und das authentische dänische Alltagsleben widerspiegelt.

Im Royal Danish Playhouse können Sie die moderne Interpretation von Smørrebrød – Dänemarks legendären offenen Roggenbrot-Sandwiches – durch Küchenchef Adam Aamanns genießen. Sie genießen zwei kleine Häppchen, dazu gibt es Wein (nur nachmittags) oder Mineralwasser.

Im weltweit ersten Restaurant, das sich ganz dem Porridge widmet, erleben Sie eine moderne nordische Interpretation dieses einfachen Gerichts mit ihrem Rote-Linsen-Dal-Porridge, zubereitet mit Kokosmilch, Gewürzen, frischen Kräutern, Kirschtomaten, gesalzenen Mandeln und mehr, für ein geschmackvolles, global inspiriertes Erlebnis.
Sie probieren einen klassischen dänischen „Ristet Hotdog“ – eine rote Wurst in einem weichen Brötchen mit Remoulade, Senf, Ketchup, Gewürzgurken und Zwiebeln –, ein beliebtes Streetfood, dessen Ursprünge bis in die 1920er Jahre und die Kopenhagener „Pølsevogn“-Tradition zurückreichen.
In einer der renommiertesten familiengeführten Bäckereien Kopenhagens, die 1963 gegründet wurde, können Sie ein klassisches skandinavisches Kardamombrötchen genießen: weich, buttrig und leicht gewürzt, dezent süß mit Zitrus- und blumigen Noten, verfeinert mit Sirup und Hagelzucker – ein Beweis für die lange Tradition nordischer Handwerkskunst dieser Bäckerei.

We had a wonderful time on this walking food tour. The five tastings were all unique, blending traditional Danish flavours with influences from around the world. The relaxed pace gave us plenty of time to explore, from the Opera House to Christianshavn, including local neighbourhoods as well as the main tourist areas. This walking food tour was fantastic. Each stop was completely different from the last, giving us a real sense of the range of Danish specialties as well as some great modern fusions — it never felt repetitive, and by the end we’d built a genuine picture of the local food scene. Our guide Sonia made the whole experience. She was incredibly knowledgeable, offering great background on the history and stories behind each dish, but she also went beyond the tour itself — giving us tons of personal recommendations for other spots to check out in each neighborhood we walked through.
