Wir besuchen den berühmten Aburi Botanical Garden, wo wir die verschiedenen Vorteile kennenlernen, die sich aus verschiedenen Pflanzen im Garten ergeben. Diese Tour wird Liebhabern botanischer Pflanzen empfohlen und möchte mehr über ihre Verwendung erfahren. Die Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm wird unsere nächste Station für diese Tour sein. Auf dieser Farm wurde der erste Kakaobaum gepflanzt. Wir werden den Prozess sehen, den der Kakao durchläuft, um die Endprodukte für Pralinen zu erhalten.

Gäste können den Aburi Botanical Gardens besuchen, einen umweltfreundlichen Ort, der sich auf den Schutz von Pflanzen- und Tierarten konzentriert und 1890 eröffnet wurde. Der Garten beherbergt verschiedene botanische Pflanzenarten, die aus verschiedenen Teilen der Welt stammen. Einige wurden von Kolonialgouverneuren und Führern in Afrika und darüber hinaus gepflanzt, wie Sir Gordon Guggisberg, General Olisengo Obasanjo, S. E. Jerry John Rawlings, Königin Elizabeth II., Prinz Charles von Großbritannien und viele andere. Diese Pflanzen werden als Nahrungsmittel, für medizinische Zwecke, als Gewürze für die Zubereitung und Verschönerung von Speisen verwendet.
Die Tetteh Quarshie Kakaofarm ist die erste Kakaofarm in Ghana, die 1870 von Tetteh Quarshie in Akuapim Mampong angelegt wurde. Die Gäste würden durch den Prozess der Kakaoplantage von der Pflanzung bis zur Ernte geführt und dann durch den Fermentationsprozess, bei dem die Bauern rohe Kakaobohnen erhalten, die im Rohzustand exportiert oder zur Verarbeitung an produzierende Unternehmen verkauft werden. Zwei der ursprünglich von Tetteh Quarshie selbst gepflanzten Bäume stehen noch immer auf der Farm und tragen Früchte. Ghana ist bekanntermaßen führend in der Produktion von Qualitätskakao und nach der Elfenbeinküste der zweitgrößte in der Menge.
Diese Attraktion befindet sich in Obosomase in der östlichen Region Ghanas. Der Wasserfall ist auch als Obosomase-Wasserfall bekannt und fließt auf geschichteten Felsen in ein klares Becken. Die Wasserfälle fließen durch einen Wald, der vor 400 Jahren die Heimat der ghanaischen Ureinwohner war. Der Wasserfall besteht aus zwei Teilen; die unteren Wasserfälle und die oberen Wasserfälle. Um diese schöne Attraktion zu sehen, müssten Touristen etwa 25 Minuten lang auf einem Hügel wandern, um zu den Wasserfällen zu gelangen.

This is a wonderful tour that connects you to nature. The botanical garden was amazing; I know … but the trees and plants were spectacular. We also did the waterfall, what a serene place to clear your mind and the drive to both the waterfall and gardens were so nice and really different from busy Accra city center. And the cocoa farm was so insightful and quite the learning experience. A great tour all around and our guide Gian was wonderful - he even gave a great recommendation for lunch. Highly recommend and if you get Gian you’re in for a treat.

The botanical garden and the cocoa farm were both very interesting and a good time. The waterfall required a steep walk down a long unpaved path to get there. And a very slippery rock path to get close to it, which I fell on and got some scratches and bruises. I was ok but too tired and wary to see the second waterfall there. The guide was good. The AC was not working in the car I was traveling in so it was hot.

Driver and guide arrived early with an air conditioned vehicle. The botanical gardens were fabulous, we learned a lot at the first chocolate farm in Ghana and the waterfall was nice but we found the hike to be almost too strenuous given the hot weather and steady incline. We left around 10:30 and returned at 5pm. This tour is good value and a nice way to see some sights in the hills just outside of Accra. Guides at each location were knowledgeable and happy to answer all of your questions.

It was a good experience. I thought I would have seen more herbs and spices. The waterfalls were breathtaking once you get there. Vistors need to know that the trek to get there is longer than expected and then you have 90 stairs to get to big waterfall.

The Cocoa Farm was very interesting and I loved the practical aspect of the tour at the Farm. Another highlight of the tour was the opportunity to meet other garden enthusiasts at the botanical garden and exchanged tips and ideas. The group was small enough that we were able to chat with each other and learn from one another's experiences. this tour is worth the price.

The Aburi Garden tour tour was a truly a delightful experience. As a lover of all things green, I was excited to explore the various gardens in the area, and I was not disappointed. The hike to the waterfall was challenging and not accessible for all ages. Along the way, we passed through a beautiful grove of trees which added to the enjoyment of the tour. The water cascaded down a series of rocks into a small pool, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere. It was the perfect spot to take some photos and just Overall, the mini waterfall tour was a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and connect with nature. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and refreshing outdoor experience.

This is definitely worth it! Price was reasonable and it was very organized and professional! We loved seeing Aburi garden, the cocoa farm was very informative and the Adom WaterFall was a good exercise session ( I recommend you dress appropriately). The tour guide was very flexible and ensured we were comfortable and having a good time!

We had such a lovely time with the ProTour Africa team. They are extremely professional, kind and polite. But most importantly communication was excellent all round from booking to drop off.
