Mindo ist eine kleine Stadt am Fuße der Anden in Ecuador. Inmitten eines wunderschönen Nebelwaldes zieht es in erster Linie Vogelbeobachter an, bietet aber auch Attraktionen für andere Touristen. Mindo liegt nordwestlich von Quito. Diese Stadt wurde 1861 gegründet und hat derzeit rund 3000 Einwohner. Mindo ist vom Mindo-Nambillo-Nebelwald umgeben. Im Wald leben Hunderte von Vogelarten, von denen viele vom Aussterben bedroht sind. Hier haben Sie die Möglichkeit, Aktivitäten auszuwählen, die nicht im Tourpreis enthalten sind. B. den Wasserfall wandern, Baldachin / Ziplining, an der Herstellung von Schokolade teilnehmen und die Welt der Schmetterlinge erkunden.

Reiseverlauf
Treffpunkt im Carpedm-Amt. Abfahrt um 7 Uhr morgens von Carpedms Büro machen wir uns auf den Weg nach Mindo. Die Fahrt dauert ungefähr zweieinhalb Stunden. Unsere erste Station sind die Seilrutschen oder der Baldachin, wie sie hier genannt werden, da Sie sich buchstäblich über dem Baldachin befinden. Insgesamt gibt es 10 Zeilen, und wenn Sie sich mutig fühlen, können Sie sogar den Übermenschen oder den Schmetterling ausprobieren. Nach ungefähr einer Stunde Adrenalinspaß fahren Sie in Richtung Tarabita, einer Seilbahn, die Sie zum Beginn Ihres Wasserfallspaziergangs bringt. Während Sie durch den Nebelwald gehen, können Sie verschiedene Vögel und Schmetterlinge sehen. Wenn Sie einen Badeanzug mitbringen, können Sie im kristallklaren Wasser schwimmen. Sobald Sie ein wenig abgetrocknet sind, gehen wir zum Mittagessen. Nach dem Mittagessen sind optionale Aktivitäten entweder: 1. Besuch der Schokoladenfabrik (nicht im Preis inbegriffen). ODER 2. Besuch der Schmetterlingsfarm / Kolibris (nicht im Preis inbegriffen)

Im Schmetterlingsgarten in Mindo schweben mehr als 100 bunte Schmetterlinge um Sie herum. Aussichtsturm und Deck Kolibris vor Ort.

Such an amazing experience seeing and interacting with the animals of the forest. The hike to the waterfall was so peaceful and nice. The cable car ride had breathtaking views.
We got to have hummingbirds feed off our hands. The zipline was also fun and exhilarating. All around memorable

I did two excursions with CarpeDM : Quilotoa and Mindo. It's really comfortable because everything is included : transport, guide, lunch. I've been to Quilotoa and Mindo with Alejandro. He's really a good guide. He knows very well the nature and animals from Ecuador, so he'll give you good explanations about what you're going to visit. He's really nice, speaks very well English. Our day trip to Mindo with Alejandro was incredible! He was knowledgeable, friendly and showed us an incredible experience. We learnt so much and even helped spot some Tucans for us and hold butterflies! We were apprehensive at first for paying for the day trip vs doing it ourselves, but we were so thankful and happy with our decision after an amazing day. We had a magical day in Mindo, seeing hummingbirds, butterflies, doing the waterfall trek and a tour of a chocolate farm. Alejandro was absolutely brilliant, the best tour guide I had in Ecuador - informative, helpful, lovely and chatty. He helped us understand mindo and we learnt a lot about Ecuador too. He also helped us to spot Toucans! Great experience.
