In einigen Verkäufen gibt es ein ständiges Museum, einschließlich seltene Trüffelausstattungen von lokalem Essen und Wein, Einstellung der albekischen Küche des siebzehnten und neunzehnten Jahrhunderts, die Brennerei des achtzehnten Jahrhunderts, Cooper's Shop, Hofbauern. Graf Camillo Benso di Cavour, einer der Protagonisten der Vereinigung Italiens, war der Besitzer dieses Schlosses. Hier blieb er zwischen 1832 und 1849, als er Bürgermeister der Gemeinde Grinzane war. Er muss auch auf dem Gebiet des Weinbaus interessant sein. In der Burg sind seine Möbel, Manuskripte und die Tricolor Band des Bürgermeisters erhalten.

Das in der ersten Hälfte des 13. Jahrhunderts erbaute Schloss wurde mehrfach architektonisch verändert. Die letzten Renovierungsarbeiten wurden 1961 anlässlich des 100. Jahrestages der italienischen Einigung durchgeführt. Das imposante Gebäude aus rotem Backstein basiert auf einem Trapezplan mit vier unregelmäßig um den kleinen Haupthof angeordneten Abschnitten. Es wurde im 16. Jahrhundert um zwei malerische runde Türme erweitert; Die Kassettendecke mit 157 bemalten Tafeln in der Maskenhalle stammt aus derselben Zeit. Heute beherbergt das Schloss die regionale Enoteca "Cavour", ein Restaurant und ein ethnographisches Museum für ländliches Leben. Letzteres zeigt Exponate zu verschiedenen Themen: Cavourianische Relikte, Weine aus Alba in der römischen Welt, lokale Kücheneinstellungen aus dem 17. und 19. Jahrhundert, Weingläser, Gegenstände, die sich auf Albas Essens- und Weintraditionen beziehen, die Werkstätten eines Schmiedes und ein Küfer, eine Brennerei aus dem 18. Jahrhundert, Hofgeräte, Gewichte und Maße, Informationen über Trüffel.

This is where Cavour was mayor. The exterior is very striking with a 360-degree view of the hills, featuring an educational path about grape maturation. Inside, there is a grocery store and a bar that serves appetizers with a very skilled bartender, a sommelier. The visit to the rooms lasts about thirty minutes. Convenient parking. Well-maintained castle.
The castle towers majestically over the small hill. In the background you can see the maritime Alps of Piedmont. That's nice. The museum, too. But that's all.
The Castle of Grinzane Cavour: beautiful structure, perfectly preserved and immersed in a breathtaking landscape; the hills of the Langhe seen from here look like a painting. The visit to the castle is rich in history and curiosity, with well-equipped rooms and paths that tell in a clear and engaging way the figure of Cavour and the winemaking tradition of the territory. Also very interesting is the museum dedicated to truffles and local culture. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the organization impeccable. It is one of those places where care and respect for cultural heritage are perceived. An experience that I recommend to anyone visiting the Langhe: fascinating, suggestive and absolutely not to be missed.

Despite having been several times in the Langhe, we had not yet visited this wonderful castle! Beautiful outdoor area, a real open-air museum and very interesting interior where in addition to the history of Cavour, it becomes a museum of the territory and I must say that it is done really very well, I absolutely recommend it if you are in the area!
Mostly about wine and truffles. If you are looking for a “castle” experience, this isn’t for you. The outside grounds and views are spectacular.
Castle visited outdoors, formerly home of Camillo Benso Count of Cavour. Very nice, well-kept both the building and the park. Spectacular view, parking very close, very comfortable climb on foot although slightly uphill. Passing in the surroundings to be reckoned with.
Very nice and well maintained castle. For wine lovers it is a perfect place. Many explanations about wine and Cavour's life. I recommend it
Visit well organized by the volunteers of the fai, the visit lasts over an hour and all we are told is Interesting, good Silvia the guide but good also the rest of the volunteers. The castle lends itself very well to a guided tour. Being full of works of various kinds. Congratulations, everyone. 5 euros in two decidedly well spent.
The castle, at least from the outside, is very particular, but entirely not so interesting, although the large wine press at the entrance is undoubtedly something unique.
