Die Mount Longonot-Tagesausflug-Wandersafari startet täglich nach dem Frühstück in Nairobi. Die Fahrt dauert ungefähr eine Stunde. Sie beginnen die Zustimmung bei 6000 Fuß. Wie bei allen guten Bergaufwanderungen werden Sie mit einem langsamen Anstieg zum ersten Gipfel in ein Gefühl falscher Sicherheit versetzt. Dies gibt Ihnen die Möglichkeit, Ihre Lungen und Gliedmaßen für den zweiten Abschnitt freizubekommen, der am beeindruckendsten ist. Am Ende jedes Abschnitts befindet sich ein Rastplatz, an dem Sie sich auf den nächsten Teil Ihrer Reise vorbereiten können. Sie werden früh begonnen haben, um die Hitze der Sonne zu vermeiden, aber bis Sie das Ende des zweiten Abschnitts erreichen, würden Sie Ihre eigene Hitze erzeugt haben. Diese Wanderung ist keine leichte Wanderung, aber für Menschen mit durchschnittlicher Fitness erreichbar. Unser Guide begleitet Sie nach oben. Wenn Sie sich über den Rand des Kraters begeben, ist Ihre Belohnung der großartige Anblick von Naivasha und dem Great Rift Valley und Sie wissen, dass sich alles gelohnt hat. Die gesamte Tour ist nur ca. 8–9 km lang, aber sehr steil, so dass die Rundfahrt von Parkgate - Longonot Peak - Parkgate ca. 5 Stunden dauert. Wanderer müssen einigermaßen fit sein, um an dieser Wanderung teilnehmen zu können. Die herrliche Aussicht vom Kraterrand selbst ist jedoch jeden schmerzhaften Schritt und die Mühe wert. Diese Tagestour ist mittelschwer mit steilen Anstiegen. Das Gelände ist feinstaubig und an einigen Stellen der Wanderung locker mit Kies bedeckt. Sie sollten bequeme Wanderschuhe, leichte Kleidung und Trinkwasser mitbringen. Wenn Sie den Berg verlassen, machen Sie eine Pause im Hauptquartier des Mount Longonot-Nationalparks, bevor Sie zum See Navaisha fahren, wo Sie die Möglichkeit haben, ein Mittagessen im Marina Camp am See zu kaufen. Buchen Sie auf Wunsch eine Sightseeing-Bootsfahrt auf dem See Navaisha, wo Hunderte von Vogelarten neben einer Population von Flusspferden gedeihen. Nach Ihrer Zeit am See Navaisha endet diese Tour mit einem Rücktransfer zu Ihrem Hotel in Nairobi.

A perfect trip with Gracepatt Ecotours, even the day before the contact and booking with Grace was perfect. Our driver Titus picked us up at 6:00 in the morning on time from our private accommodation (at friends) in Nairobi. Nobody was on the tour except the two of us. After a very pleasant ride with Titus to Longonok National Park we started at 8:00 a.m. with the local guide Lewis on the Longonok. Lewis took us to the summit and told us a lot about the plants and animals in the park, about the volcano and much more. We were very happy that we started so early and were already back around noon when it got really hot. Afterwards we continued with Titus to Lake Navasha - the boat trip is highly recommended and worth every shilling (per person 3000 shillings, 25 USD). Titus was so super kind to lend us the 6000 shillings for the boat tour until the next day, because we had assumed that we could pay for the boat tour by card. The return trip with Titus was also very pleasant and we were back in Nairobi after a beautiful eventful tour about 17:00. Thank you Titus, thank you Grace!
What an experience! Kelvin was an amazing guide, trekking us up the beautiful Mt Longonot. He pointed out various wildlife along with educating us on the trees and flora in this area. He was also a great sport in taking pictures of us at the summit. We enjoyed every minute of this tour (ok so the last few steps were probably not enjoyed because we were exhausted!!:)) This is a great tour that everyone should check out! Spectacular! As well as the hiking we went on a boat trips seeing lots of wildlife. Both of the guides for each section were very knowledge and Stephen knew all the best pla especially to go resulting in a wonderful lunch by the lake side

It was a great day from the drive out to Mt Longonot to the climb, reasonable fitness and head for heights as it is an all 4's climb if you want to complete the climb up to the peak and walk the whole way around the rim.

Kelvin was an excellent driver w/ nice sedan, Kennedy-Darius was an caring guide of Mt. Longonot. You can expect great view of the Rift Valley from the viewpoint and from the top of Mt. Longonot. If you prefer to go around the crater of Mt. Longonot, which takes 5-6 hours, ask upon booking. At Lake Naivasha, you'll have great chance of seeing many birds, hippos, giraffes, and zebras.
