Sie beginnen Ihre Tour um 14:00 Uhr in Habarana. Ihr Safari-Jeep holt Sie von Ihrem Hotel ab und fährt Sie zum Minneriya-Nationalpark. Der Park weist viele verschiedene Landtypen und Vegetationen auf. Feuchtgebiete vermischen sich mit landwirtschaftlichen Flächen und Felsvorsprüngen, und Wälder gehen Hand in Hand mit Buschland. Dies bedeutet auch, dass die Arten von Wildtieren und Vögeln, die im Park leben oder ihn besuchen, sehr vielfältig sind. Wenn Sie Glück haben, können Sie ein Krokodil oder sogar einen äußerst seltenen grauen Schlanklori sehen. Eine kleine Herde Hirsche besucht möglicherweise den Minneriya-Stausee, den Sie am frühen Morgen beobachten können. Wenn Sie sich für die Abendsafari entscheiden, die die beste Zeit ist, um diesen Park zu sehen, können Sie auch die Elefanten bei ihrem täglichen Bad sehen und die vielen verschiedenen Vogelarten beobachten, die am Ende des Tages zu ihren Nestern aufbrechen. Nachdem Sie Ihren halbtägigen Naturbeobachtungsausflug beendet haben, werden Sie wieder zu Ihrem Hotel zurückgebracht.

Fabulous safari. We saw so many elephants, including some really small baby ones, which was magical. The park was busy and there were lots of other jeeps, but we also had quiet moments away from the others. The elephants came so close to the jeep, which was really exciting. Brilliant driver, friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent, comfortable vehicle too. Be prepared for a long wait for tickets to get into the park - 90 mins for us and we hadn’t brought anything to occupy the kids so it was a bit tricky, mainly not knowing how long it would take. This was quickly forgotten once we got going though. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

The tour company informed us the day before our trip that not many elephants were being seen in the morning, and that they recommended we change to an afternoon tour. Our driver and guide for the day, Asela, picked us up and was such a great host! He got us into great spots that the elephants naturally came towards and he was also very respectful of them by turning off his engine. Asela’s knowledge of the elephants and other animals in the park was fantastic and we cannot recommend him enough.

Today we visit the Minneriya National Park. Asela was our Jeep driver and he was very kind and nice.He pick up us at the restaurant and take us to all the safari, giving us information about the elephants. He also facilitate us a tuktuk to Dambulla. He is the best!!!

The driver was punctual, friendly and made sure we were all comfortable. He took us there and back for a great price and stopped so we can get drinks and snacks too. The safari was incredible! Seeing the wildlife was beautiful and we saw more elephants than we expected!! Had an amazing time 10/10 recommend

Great experience with our guide! We were able to observe about fifty elephants and a few birds. The few jeeps present in the park do not go for the animals, they approach it and the animals are not wild and come almost into contact. I recommend this safari!

Overall. A fantastic experience. The Guide was wonderful and knew terrain very well. The Guide was on time for pickup and covered entire area very well. We almost saw 20-25 elephants.
