Es wird eine Minivan-Tour in kleiner Gruppe sein, maximal 8 Teilnehmer auf einer Tour. Jeder Gast wird persönlich betreut; Tourflexibilität auf Anfrage (wenn alle Teilnehmer das gleiche Interesse zeigen).

„Weißes Gold“ – Eine lustige und spannende Reise zurück in die Geschichte. Diese Tour führt Sie zu einem der ältesten für Besucher zugänglichen Salzbergwerke der Welt am Dürrnberg. Das dort geförderte „weiße Gold“ spielte in der Geschichte Salzburgs und weit darüber hinaus eine entscheidende Rolle. In traditionellen Bergmannstüchern, mit einer kleinen Bergmannsbahn und auf glatt polierten Holzrutschen gleitet man Ebene für Ebene hinab und taucht nicht nur in die Geheimnisse einer Welt tief im Inneren des Berges ein. Sie werden auch für Ewigkeiten in der Zeit zurückreisen. Ein Bergmann führt Sie anschaulich durch die Geschichte und erzählt spannende Sagen wie die vom „Mann im Salz“. Ein Highlight wird die Floßfahrt über den unterirdischen Salzsee sein. Mit Spaß und Spannung entdecken Sie die Millionen Jahre lang verborgene Geschichte des „weißen Goldes“.
Auf einem Elektroboot lassen Sie den lauten und hektischen Alltag hinter sich und genießen Deutschlands tiefsten und saubersten See, das Juwel der bayerischen Alpen. Dieser smaragdgrüne, fjordähnliche See wird von den steilen Felswänden des Watzmanns bis auf 1800m überragt und hat eine Tiefe von bis zu 190m. Auf einer kleinen romantischen Halbinsel steht das Wahrzeichen von Königssee, die alte Augustinerkapelle St. Bartholomäus. Das faszinierende Königssee-Echo. (Im Winter ab 06.11.2022 bis 01.04.23 Schifffahrt nicht möglich, daher Aufenthalt am See und Berchtesgadener Stadt möglich)
Auf dem Rückweg nach Salzburg fahren wir durch das charmante Städtchen Berchtesgaden, wenn es die Zeit zulässt, ein möglicher Besuch des königlichen Schlosses und der Abtei.

SEHR WICHTIG: Der Kunde muss 15 Minuten vor Tourbeginn (08:30 Uhr) zur Abholung bereit sein, da er/sie bereits als erster abgeholt werden kann. Maximal 5 Minuten Wartezeit sind möglich, darüber hinaus ist Warten leider nicht möglich. Hinweis: Auf Anfrage sind auch andere Abholorte, z.B. Salzburg Hauptbahnhof/Ausfahrt Schallmoos, Edelweiss Tours Büro, Theatergasse 1, 5020 Salzburg, möglich.

The tour is really well organized. My guide Shiva is really professional. He is very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of suggestions. The King’s Lake is really peaceful and I think it’s the highlight of the tour!

Highly recommend Edelweiss tours!! We did 2 private full-day tours with them, 2 days in a row from Salzburg. Doris was so helpful with planning - advising us on what to do and what to skip, as well as timing, plus recommending restaurants (& making reservations). Shiva was such an incredible tour guide! He is so knowledgeable, patient, thoughtful, and kind. He has an incredible memory but is so personable and felt like part of our family. He got to know each of us and we will never forget him! Edelweiss made these day trips from Salzburg SO easy (someone else driving, parking, securing tickets), but also added so much to the experience - our guide Shiva had so much information to share that we otherwise wouldn’t have known about. Long story short, my itinerary was changed to the Salt mine and visit to the Giant Ice Cave instead. One has to travel by Funicular up to the summit, a walk of xx metres before reaching the salt mine. Beside the introduction, history and methods of exploiting the mines, the slides from level to level and the carriage ride are something to look forward to. I have been to the Salt Mine in Poland and the latter is much more spectacular and interesting compared to this one in Durrnberg. If you have never been to one and nothing for you to compare, it is fine. The Giant Ice Cave is truly awesome, really amazing and phenomenal, simply incredible. One has to travel by cable car/furnicular up to the mountain. There is a considerably walk from the station to the cave, mostly uphill, really a test of your stamina. I am glad to have visited this unique ice treasure deep in the cave (arranged by the tour operator), unbelievably stunning and admire the power of nature. If you are doing a day tour from Salzburg, the Giant Ice Cave is not to be missed, highly recommeded !!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you to the tour operator for suggesting the change !!!!! Francis Ong
