Öldur ist die erste und einzige Meadery in Island. Wir haben eine große Auswahl an klassischen und leichten Mets. Je nachdem, was wir zur Verfügung haben, werden Sie mindestens drei verschiedene Arten von Mets probieren. Wir setzen auf Qualität und versuchen, isländische Zutaten so oft wie möglich zu verwenden. Wir haben unsere Meadery kürzlich von Reykjavík nach Hella verlegt, also war diese Aktivität für eine Weile geschlossen, aber jetzt sind wir wieder an einem neuen und besseren Ort!

My husband and I made a special trip to do this one hour mead tasting. I fell in love with their mead on a previous trip I had in Iceland. This was my first time to their meadery in Hella and our host Agny was amazing. She gave us a rich history of the meadery’s beginning and each sample she provided was amazing. They are also venturing out in beer brewing they is quite good as well. I highly recommend stopping by here during your trip to Iceland. 5 stars!

Cannot recommend this enough! If you want to try some amazing mead with an awesome guy who has put his heart and soul into his product, this is it!!! Seriously you have to book this! As for me, I will definitely be back!
My husband and I enjoyed our meadery tour at Oldur. Though the meadery is small, we felt our time was well spent. The owner spent well over the allotted time with us and provided some excellent mead to try. I’m looking forward to coming back or when I can purchase the mead in the States.
Very nice discovery. A delicious product too little known that deserves to be highlighted. The owner made us taste several products, and explained perfectly how the distillery works. Very friendly, I recommend 100%
This was amazing!! This was one of our favorite activities we did in Iceland. It was so quaint and personal. The mead was amazing. Some were carbonated which I've never experienced before and you could actually taste the honey flavor. We learned a lot about the meadery, which is the first and only meadery in Iceland.

The tour was great and it was a very personal tour speaking with the co owner and sole mead brew master. Would recommend to anyone interested about mead and small batch craft brewing in general.
The mead was a delicious and we had a great experience learning about the history of alcohol in Iceland, mead, and the beginnings of the company.
Had a fantastic time at the meadery. Sat with the head brewer and owner, Helgi and his wife, sharing amazing meads and talking shop about brewing. If you are at all interested in the process I can not recommend this enough.
Great mead and really fun chill experience! Very knowledgeable owners, and their goal of top quality mead making and turning the drink into a staple is truly inspiring. Keep it up and hope to visit again soon!
My husband and I visited on our honeymoon! Not only did we learn a lot about mead in Iceland, but everything we tasted was delicious! I couldn’t recommend a visit more. (PS: Mead is not beer!)
