Le Morne Brabant ist eine Halbinsel an der äußersten Südwestspitze der Insel Mauritius im Indischen Ozean auf der Luvseite der Insel. Es wird von einem gleichnamigen Basaltmonolithen mit einem Gipfel 556 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel hervorgehoben. Bekannt als eine der bekanntesten Wanderungen der Insel mit spektakulärem Blick auf die südwestliche Ecke der Insel, ist dies ein Muss! Dies ist die perfekte Aktivität für Naturliebhaber und Abenteuersuchende. Seit dem 6. Juli 2008 von der UNESCO zum Weltkulturerbe erklärt, ist der Ort ein Zufluchtsort für entlaufene Sklaven und ein starkes kulturelles und kulturelles Symbol für jeden Mauritianer. Der Berg beherbergt eine Vielzahl von endemischen Arten, wie die seltene Trochetia Boutonania und ihre rot flammende Blume.

We had a very good start to the day with Ruben, who picked us up at the hotel and brought us back again. Unfortunately we couldn't get plastic bottles in the hotel, he just gave us his water. With Henry, our guide, we had a great tour. He certainly led us up and down the mountain and told us a lot of exciting information about the story. Getting up early was definitely worth it:-)
I didn't go on this tour because after booking months in advance they cancelled on me two hours before I was supposed to go on the hike (after I confirmed the day before!) because I was the only one signed up and they wouldn't take one person.
Hiking Le Morne Brabant was an unforgettable experience! There was a bit of waiting at the start to make sure everyone arrived, but once we got going, it was incredible. The guide was really supportive and his attitude really helped us to keep going. The climb was definitely tough, but the views from the top were absolutely breathtaking. It’s not for the faint-hearted, but I’m so glad I did it!

Great experience. The comments of Rohan I are very complete. The Daryeau Guide on top. Perhaps add that the upper part of the Ascent is physical and therefore requires good shape, suitable shoes, and no vertigo. Unsuitable for children...

The hike was remarkably safe, offering not only a refreshing outdoor adventure but also a rich educational journey. The transfer was smooth to and from Le Morne. The actual hike was a phenomenal experience. Yudish, the guide for our group, was very knowledgable about the history of the mountain, Mauritius and the plants on the mountain. I am afraid of heights so at certain times during the hike for scared, but Yudish made me feel comfortable and safe. Would definitely recommend!

First of all, I only use Viator. It simply is the most trusted and best tour operator you will find! Any problems and Viator will resolve them for you at ease and without issue. As for the tour itself, we had a very pleasant driver who had to be up super early to collect us from the other side of the island and he made us feel very comfortable and welcome. The mountain climb, I say climb as it was no hike was a very memorable experience and quite a challenge. Our guide Matt/ Matthieu was such a great guy, he made us feel safe bud we got on really well, exchanged contact details and remain in touch. He is an expert guide and was very helpful for other people on the tour who found the climb to be quite a challenge. My partner and I regularly go to the gym and that cling was a serious workout. You can’t really see the underwater waterfall illusion from the top of the mountain but the views are still absolutely breathtaking and it was well worth the experience. If you book through this tour operator ask for Mathieu as you can be in better hands he really looked after us well and went the extra mile to ensure we had a memorable and safe experience
