Besuchen Sie den 90 Meter hohen Materuni-Wasserfall, wandern Sie zwischen Kaffee- und Bananenbäumen und erfahren Sie mehr über die Flora und Fauna an den Hängen des Kilimandscharo. Während der Tour erfahren Sie mehr über die Chagga-Gemeinde und ihre Geschichte, genießen die atemberaubende Aussicht auf den Kilimandscharo, erleben die Kaffeetour von den örtlichen Farmen und genießen zum Schluss köstliches Essen, das von einheimischen Mamas zubereitet wird. Materuni ist die Heimat des Chagga-Volkes und immer noch ein authentisches Stammesdorf. Dieses charmante Dorf liegt nur 13 km von der Stadt Moshi entfernt und grenzt an den Kilimandscharo-Nationalpark. Wir treffen Sie zu einem vereinbarten Zeitpunkt im Materuni Village Office. Zuerst besuchen Sie den Materuni-Wasserfall, der etwa 40 Gehminuten entfernt liegt. Unterwegs informiert Sie Ihr Reiseleiter über die Kultur des Chagga-Volkes und das Dorfleben und erklärt Ihnen die umliegende Flora und Fauna. Die Aussicht ist wirklich atemberaubend und mit etwas Glück können Sie den Gipfel des Kilimandscharo sehen. Wenn Sie den Wasserfall erreichen, werden Sie feststellen, dass er mehr als 80 Meter hoch ist. Der Pool am Fuße des Wasserfalls lädt zu einem erfrischenden Bad ein. Vergessen Sie also nicht Ihre Badekleidung!
Kaffeetour Hier erfahren Sie, wie Kaffee angebaut, getrocknet, geröstet und weiterverarbeitet wird. Sie werden auch eingeladen, beim Mahlen des Kaffees mitzuhelfen, was traditionell von Chagga-Liedern und -Tänzen begleitet wird! Es ist eine unterhaltsame und einzigartige Möglichkeit, in die lokale Kultur einzutauchen! Bevor Sie sich verabschieden, können Sie den von Ihnen zubereiteten Kaffee genießen und dabei die Aussicht auf den umliegenden Bergregenwald genießen.

Beautiful landscape and nice experience making our own coffee with our wonderful guide Hashim. Excellent lunch as well !
It was an incredible, captivating experience. My guide, Anold, explained and showed me all the plants used by the tribe in detail. We found several magnificent chameleons. My dietary needs were also carefully considered. The coffee plantation tour was a dream come true. Thank you so much 🙏🏼🥹 P. S. When it rains, it gets very muddy, so it's best to bring extra shoes and a raincoat ☺️
Materuni Village Experience is situated in the most beautiful setting. It really took my breath away as I rounded the corner into the compound. I felt like I could live in this corner of the world forever! Lunch was delicious and with a wonderful view, and coffee making with the locals was great fun - it was certainly very satisfying to drink my own tasty handmade coffee! My guide for the experience was Aviti. After lunch, he took me on a short hike through the village to the waterfalls (a must see!), regaling me with stories about life in the village and patiently answering my endless questions about the vegetation and landscapes. Aviti was earnest and full of life, eager to show me his country, and it was one of the most informative and enjoyable conversations I’ve had in Tanzania. He even took the initiative to adjust our return route slightly so he could show me some of the things we had spoken about. I highly recommend him for a value-added experience!

Materuni truly is a paradise. The team of materuni experience was very friendly and attentive and we felt very welcome. We enjoyed every minute of our activities starting from materuni waterfalls to coffee tour, cooking class and a day hike on the marangu route. The activities were well organized and the guides had a lot of knowledge. The served dishes were very delicious and freshly made. Thanks to the kitchen and to the whole amazing team of materuni experience. It truly is our first choice if we ever travel again in tanzania. Asante sana!
We did the excursion with Mangi, a local guide, and the experience was absolutely incredible! Mangi was so kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. He shared so many interesting facts with us and knew absolutely everything about the area. If you have the chance to choose your guide, I 100% recommend asking for Mangi. Everything was perfect from start to finish – a true 10/10 experience!
