Chelsea and Jasper were incredible guides! They shared plenty of information about the area! The views were breathtaking. It was great to have the opportunity to fully immerse in what ketchikan has to offer. Everyone was so nice and able to answer any questions you may have.
Beautiful scenery. It hasn’t rained so the trail was very dusty, which was out of their control. Jasper was great and took amazing pictures for us. Overall a nice experience for our family
We had a wonderful time on this adventure. The entire staff was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. Our guides Bridget and Matt shared interesting facts about the area. I wish our cruise ship stop at Ketchikan was longer so we could have a longer adventure!
I booked this UTV adventure during my Alaska cruise in May 2026, and despite some confusion at the port (which was entirely on the cruise line), this ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. I was accidentally put on the wrong bus and ended up at the wrong excursion. Thankfully, a very kind gentleman at the crab and beer excursion helped me out and even arranged transportation to the correct location using his personal boat. Because of the delay, I was worried I would miss the tour, but Cole, Mitch, and the rest of the team were incredibly understanding and gracious enough to wait for me. Once I arrived, the check-in process was quick and easy, and we were soon on the trail. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. We took roughly a 7-mile ride to a waterfall, then got out and walked to a stunning lake where we skipped rocks, relaxed, and enjoyed the views. Cole and Mitch were fantastic guides—friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help take photos or answer questions. One of the coolest parts of the trip was learning about the local environment and even trying spruce tips straight from the trees, which are commonly used in some local beers. The UTVs top out at around 25 mph, but honestly, that’s perfectly reasonable given the terrain and allows you to fully enjoy the scenery. Between the incredible views, the fun ride, and the outstanding people running the tour, this was a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Alaska. Thank you, Cole, Mitch, and the entire team for turning what could have been a stressful day into such a memorable adventure!
Let me start by saying that Fin & Cole are the best and funniest tour guides. They not only give you the history behind everything but make the whole journey fun and enjoyable. Not to mention, they take the best pictures ever! From the UTV ride, the scenery with the breathtaking views to the amazing hot dog we had, it was an amazing experience. Highly recommended 👌
Guides were great. Could be longer. Views were great.
Booked this excursion when our cruise ship docket in Ketchikan. Quite a drive from cruise port 45 minutes or so each way. Guides were excellent and attentive, our guides were Coke and Bridget. Scenery was amazing and guides very informative. Overall a great trip although was more of an ATV drive to viewpoints than an ATV experience if that makes sense. Would have been nice to have a more challenging and exciting course to make more of the ATV’s than just follow the leader to a view point and lake. Glad we did it but not really what I was expecting from activity long drive to get to activity that could have been better!
So not worth it at all. Better off going into town. A complete waste of money. The guides are nice, but the whole thing is just not worth it at all. The drive to the UTVs in the van is better than the ride. The road you ride is crazy dusty, even in a wet rain forest. The scenery does not change. You see a lake, big whoop. Everything you see in Alaska for free is 100 times better than what you see on the ride. Too mant participants, too disty, too boring, too lame. If you are from Tokyo or NYC, a big city where you only see metal and concrete and no nature, or you are 80 or handicapped, maybe you can enjoy it.
Thank you for your review. It takes real dedication to visit a rainforest, drive a UTV through the wilderness, see mountain views and a lake, and somehow conclude that the highlight was the van ride. We're sorry the experience wasn't for you. Adventure tours are a bit like pizza toppings—not everyone likes the same thing. Fortunately, thousands of guests seem to enjoy getting off the cruise ship and exploring areas they wouldn't otherwise access. You mention that everything in Alaska is better for free. We completely agree that Alaska's natural beauty is incredible. The challenge is that most of it doesn't come with transportation, equipment, guides, safety briefings, local knowledge, or a way to get there and back on time for your ship. We do appreciate your compliments about our guides. They work hard to make every trip enjoyable, even for guests who have already decided they're not having fun. We wish you the very best on your future travels and hope you find the life-changing, scenery-changing, dust-free wilderness adventure you're looking for.
Excision was well executed and stress less. Guides Cole and Jasper made it fun, safe and added knowledge to our Alaska adventure. Time at the lake was beautiful. I would highly recommend this tour for all ages.
This is a MUST do! It was so amazing!!! Cole & Jasper were the best guides. They were funny, kind, and knowledgeable.
