An Bord der Aleutenballade, einem Boot, das in der beliebten TV-Sendung Deadliest Catch des Discovery Channel gezeigt wurde, fahren Sie mit einer Experten Crew durch die ruhigen, geschützten Wasserstraßen der Inside Passage und beobachten, wie Meerestiere aller Art gefangen und an Deck gezogen werden. Der Fang wird dann in einem lebenden Tank zur Beobachtung gehalten, bevor er wieder in die Wildnis entlassen wird. Sie werden Königskrabben, Kastenkrabben, Oktopusse, Felsenfische, Garnelen und vieles mehr sehen, außerdem können Sie andere einheimische Tiere wie Seelöwen und Schweinswale sehen. Diese Tour ist auch weltbekannt für eine spektakuläre Begegnung mit Adlern in freier Wildbahn.

- Wenn Ihr Schiff in Ward Cove anlegt, nehmen Sie den kostenlosen Shuttleservice der Kreuzfahrtreedereien in die Innenstadt, der Sie an Liegeplatz 4 absetzt. Unser Boot befindet sich am Liegeplatz 3, nur 5 Gehminuten von dort entfernt. Bitte lassen Sie sich 45 Minuten Zeit, um den Shuttle zu nehmen und zu Fuß zu unserem Boot mit ein paar zusätzlichen Minuten zu sparen. Die Shuttles fahren alle 3 - 5 Minuten in die Stadt und zurück nach Ward Cove

My husband and I did this tour in June. It has to be one of my favorite tours so far. The staff was engaging providing education and life experiences. In addition to getting familiar with the fishing and crabbing industry, we had wondeful wildlife encounters. I have never seen so many eagles! I highly recommend this tour. Also, splurge on some Alaskan crab legs.
This was a cool experience. If you are a fan of Deadliest Catch you should do this tour. Gives a small feel of the adventure and the crab is great!
This is a bucket list quality experience! It was such for us and we didn't even know it was on our list!! The crew on this boat made Bering Sea crab fishing come alive! Their stories are funny, dramatic, and poignant! The boat is beautiful and comfortable! Do it!! You will have a blast!
Best excursion of the entire cruise
We did this excursion today and we all loved it! As Deadliest Catch fans, we loved hearing the stories and seeing how crab fishing actually works. However, you don’t need to be a fan of the show to enjoy the tour — it’s an awesome experience regardless. The eagle feeding was amazing — seeing so many bald eagles in one place, flying so close — just wow. And holding the crabs and other animals was so fun and interesting. I highly recommend it! This was my daughter’s favorite excursion (she’s 12), and right up there for me too (topped only by our helicopter tour that had us landing on a glacier, just for perspective).

If you're a fan of "Deadliest Catch" then you already know! This was one of the major highlights of our Alaska vacation! The crew was amazing, we loved hearing about the history of the vessel itself as well as their moving personal stories about life as fishermen on the Bering Sea. We also enjoyed their delicious King Crab while on board. Even if you're not familiar with the show, it's a great excursion when in Ketchikan.
If I could give this review more than five stars, I absolutely would. Hands down the best excursion of our entire trip! It was everything I had hoped it would be and I’m so glad my daughters and i were able to go!
Great mix of hearing personal stories, experiencing nature, and learning about crabbing. The boat was really comfortable, even for older folks. We got to see lots of types of sea life, and the guides did a great job of communicating the risks and excitement of crabbing. They also really highlighted why teamwork and constant communication are crucial to folks working dangerous jobs. In short, you'll have a great outdoor experience and you'll learn something. Highly recommend!
