I took a one day tour in Macchu Picchu and it went very good. I booked through Viator and Viator connected with the local tour company Conde Travels. The person who helped me was very helpful and kind. I would recommend this company and the people behind it.
This was a two day tour from Cusco to Machu Picchu and back. Tour was organized in excellent manner and executed well. Enjoyed thoroughly
There are so many favourite parts about this trip. The tour guides were so professional and as a solo traveller I felt taken care of very well, from the research point (where I didn't know what package to book) until the very end of my trip. I had the pleasure to have Manu as my guide to and from Aqua Caliente (place where I started my way to Machu Picchu) and he was so full of resources, knowledge, patience and such a great energy. You can easily spot the passion for his work. I changed my mind many times regarding the packages, places, etc. but in spite of that, Manu answered and clarified all the questions that I had and I couldn't ask for a better person to help me like he did. If I ever book tours in my following trips, I want my tour guides like Manu! In Machu Picchu my tour guide was Stiven and he was great at explaining and sharing with me precious info regarding the amazing place Machu Picchu is. I also been guided to Rainbow Mountain by Stif. He was very patient as well, making sure I am ok at all times, given the fact that tourist encounter altitude sickness and the hike can be difficult. I recommend them from my heart as they made my journey so amazing.
What an AMAZING experience this tour is a MUST! It was simply incredible to be there, the energy and the overall feeling are spectacular. I do want to make a special mention to someone that made our trip an incredible experience thanks to his service and great attitude, Edwin Thanks for everything you did for us. Keep up the good work!
This is not a tour. They buy you the tickets and give them to you. I got to Machu Picchu and had to find a guide for myself since they didn't have anyone waiting for me. Very disappointing. Many better options out there.
Intensive here literally mean the one-day trip is lasting quite long, the whole day is packed with different ways of road-trip including Van-Drive/RailWay/Hiking, but all in all, it is so worthy since you are visiting one of the best attractions on this planet at end of the tour, during the visit of Machu Picchu, our guide-Richard was explaining the Inca Culture in a very illustrative, inspiring way. The one-day tour is very well planned and highly recommend it.
Dear Tengjiaow, We are glad to hear you enjoyed our tour to Machu Picchu, the most exciting and famous place in Peru! Hope to see you in Peru again! Your CondeTravel Team
We were told that our pick-up would be at 0345 am. It was, but by a local on foot who proceeded to throw her candy wrappers on the street as we followed her on foot for 20 minutes into town in the freezing cold where we got on the first bus. When we arrived at Aguas Calientes our greeter Wilbert informed us that they didn't have any English tour guides, so we had to go with a Spanish guide. Then when we got to the bus we were informed that Wilbert forgot to acquire our bus tickets .So we had to wait an hour for him to come back. Once we arrived at the entrance of Macchu Picchu we were on our own to find a tour guide for which we had to pay for out of our own pockets. He was actually a very good local Peruvian who spoke decent English. He was the best part of the trip .I think his name was Linder but he told us to call him Leader ha .Great guy. Once we got back to the town after the train ride we were supposed to be greeted by a host to drive us by bus back to Cusco (1.5 hours). Well there was no one there for us so we had to get on a different tours bus which proceeded to stop in a small town and pick up random locals and bring them back to Cusco for money. They sat On the floor of the bus. The driver then took a mountainous dirt road home at night swerving around cars and almost crashing many times. We got home at 8 pm. Not fun
We were picked up at 430 am (over half hour late) in van and taken to bus. Bus driver did not turn on heat entire trip (was in the 30s farenheit) and bus windows were dripping with condensation. We deboarded and got on vistadome train (highly recommend upgrading to this train) and continued on to Agua Calientes where boarded bus to Machu Pichu. Tour was 3 hrs-guide was nice but extremely repetitive. Ride back was train to Cusco (no bus:) then boarded van-they were not going to drop us off at hotel though that is included but we convinced them we needed to bc my daughter was feeling ill.
What can you say but this is what it's all about!!! You will spend a full day of walking and enjoying the multifacted 9 football fields long!!! It's what you see from all the pictures!!!

Tour was excellent only thing I would change and not that big a deal is that tour itself takes half day but then are left 4 or 5 hrs to wonder around and see things or shop. I can understand 2 hrs or so but 4 or 5 was just too much. Again, not that big a deal but be prepared to wonder some time waiting on train.
