Reiseverlauf
Um 4:30 Uhr holen wir Sie von Ihrem Hotel ab und bringen Sie mit dem Van zum Bahnhof Ollantaytambo. Die Fahrt dauert 1 Stunde und 30 Minuten. Dort steigen Sie in den Zug nach Machu Picchu. (Sie müssen 20 Minuten vor Abfahrt des Vans bereit sein.)
Wir fahren zwischen 06:40 und 07:20 Uhr mit dem Zug in die Stadt Machu Picchu oder nach Aguas Calientes (das Dorf hat zwei Namen) und genießen die Landschaft rund um den Eingang. (Wir müssen 30 Minuten vor Abfahrt des Zuges dort sein).
Bei der Ankunft in der Stadt Machu Picchu wartet unser Transfer auf uns, um uns den Weg zu erklären, und dann fahren wir mit dem Bus zur Inka-Zitadelle. Am Ende des Ausflugs an diesem Ort können wir auch in einem lokalen Restaurant zu Mittag essen. Hinweis 1: Sobald wir im Dorf ankommen, fahren wir mit dem Bus 30 Minuten zur Zitadelle. Hinweis 2: Nach dem Besuch der Zitadelle von Machu Picchu kehren Sie in die Stadt Aguas Calientes zurück, wo Sie eine Stunde mehr Zeit haben, um das Mittagessen zu genießen.
Bei Ihrer Ankunft in Machu Picchu steigen Sie in einen Bus zur Zitadelle. Dort fahren Sie 30 Minuten und unternehmen einen zweistündigen Rundgang, bei dem Sie alte Treppen, filigrane Schnitzereien und spektakuläre Ausblicke erkunden. Anschließend haben Sie etwas Zeit zur freien Verfügung, um Fotos zu machen oder sich zu entspannen. Der Tag endet mit der schönen Rückfahrt nach Cusco.

Excellent way to see Machu Picchu on a full day tour with train. I booked at short notice and found this tour arranged all transport for me round trip from my hotel in Cusco. It’s a long day but you get to see MP without having to stay in a town nearby or trek there. They arranged for a taxi to pick me up at 3:50am to go to the MP Inca rail shuttle bus place. Tea and coffee are there. Then just under 2hr drive to Ollantaytambo for the train. More tea, coffee, food options. The train is lovely. A cultural experience with the crew performing a traditional story. There F&B also available to order. Reached Aguas caliente in under 2hrs. Then my tour guide Ruben met me at the station and escorted me to the coach bus to MP. Ruben was nice and knowledgeable with many facts about MP. I had circuit 3 which I’d read was the lesser version. Couldn’t be more wrong. I saw everything I wanted to see. I got my postcard shot. Don’t believe the hype about the different circuits. Came back to my hotel the same way with taxi to the door. All aspects were covered. I recommend this if you don’t want to work out the logistics of seeing MP from Cusco.
The communication wasn’t the best but the guide and various drivers were incredible. They made sure to be seen and followed up a ton the day of the trip. The views and history were phenomenal

One in a lifetime experience. If you like traveling, Mach Pichu is a must because of its breathtaking views. Our tour guide Mauro is very knowledgeable and made this experience very unforgettable. He even went the extra mile taking good pictures and he was very friendly and patient.
We spent more than 2 hours at the entrance of Machu Pichu because the tourist agency did not send tickets with expired schedules. The local guide that solved the problem. We sent messages to the operator, but it took her hours to respond. Of all the tours and tours we did (and were many), this service was the worst, and could be classified as absurd and offensive to the consumer.

Mauro was an amazing guide for Machu Picchu with detailed explanation of the history. He also took the best photos at the ideal look outs. The entire experience from airport pick up to the end. Frank was in contact at different check points.

Definitely a one in a lifetime experience. I was a bit nervous at first due to some negative comments. However everything about my experience was extremely smooth. Constant communication from the company. Easy transition from hotel pick up, train tickets, Machu Picchu tickets and the return back to Cusco. We booked Machu Picchu day trip fron Cusco at the last minute with Happy Gringo Tours. We had an amazing time, the train was beautifil with panorámic views, the driver was very kind, our tour guide George was very knowleadgeable about the Inca history, and Machu Picchu was increíble. We highly recommend visiting Machu Picchu to everyone.
At first, things felt a little unorganized, and the communication didn’t seem fully in place. However, once you meet the person coordinating everything, the entire experience feels much more organized and well put together. From that point on, everything went smoothly, and the experience was truly wonderful. We booked our tickets only two weeks in advance, and although the price is on the higher side, the experience was absolutely worth every penny. Thank you so much for such an amazing experience.
