Der Giants Causeway ist ein Weltkulturerbe und soll als Ergebnis eines Vulkanausbruchs vor über 60 Millionen Jahren entstanden sein. Der Causeway wurde angeblich von Finn Mc Cool, einem einheimischen Riesen, gebaut, der über 12 Fuß groß war. Der Zugang zum Giants Causeway ist kostenlos. Wir machen einen Zwischenstopp, damit Sie Dunluce Castle sehen können. Diese ikonische Ruine zeugt von einer langen und turbulenten Geschichte. Die erste schriftliche Erwähnung der Burg stammt aus dem Jahr 1513 und wurde von der Familie MacQuillan um 1500 an den dramatischen Küstenklippen des North County Antrim erbaut.
Wir halten in dieser malerischen kleinen Küstenstadt für ca. 1 Stunde zum Mittagessen an. Dort gibt es viele Möglichkeiten zum Mittagessen mit lokalen traditionellen Pubs, die traditionelles irisches Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen servieren, oder wenn Sie einen Snack und einen Strandspaziergang mit seiner atemberaubenden Schönheit bevorzugen Landschaft.

Wir besuchen den Aussichtspunkt in Portaneevy mit spektakulärem Blick auf die Carrick-A-Rede-Seilbrücke und Rathlin Island, die nur 10 km von der Küste von Ballycastle entfernt liegt.
Cushendall ist eine malerische kleine Küstenstadt am Fuße des Tafelbergs mit seinem historischen Curvew Tower aus dem Jahr 1817. Wir halten für eine 15 min Komfortpause.

We chose this excursion because we’ve previously been to Belfast. The guide/driver, Stephen, was very informative and skilled. The Giants Causeway was amazing but be prepared for huge numbers of ill-mannered tourists who don’t understand a queue and instead push and shove to get on the return shuttle from the pickup point and the end of the tour. Our tour did not include Cushendall or the Glens of Antrim. I believe this was due to the ship docking late but this wasn’t explained on the tour. We appreciated the guide’s Game of Thrones knowledge as we are big fans and his personal perspective living in the area was insightful. The brief swing through Belfast was a great way to end the tour but seeing Dunluce Castle was my favorite part of tour.

Your ship docked late and we had to make adjustments to the itinerary to ensure we got back to the ship on time. If we had completed the full itinerary it would not have been possible to return to the ship on time. Sorry you were disappointed, we did our very best within the time available to us. Regards
We went on a small bus tour with Patrick in May. He was amazing and very informative! He says he does it because he loves it and it shows. Glad we did the smaller bus since we didn’t have to wait for other people. It was our favourite shore excursion. Everything was interesting and the lunch stop was great. Really liked the Giant Causeway, that would worth it on its own.
Enjoyed the sights very much. Absolutely beautiful landscape. Our guide was ok. He knew how to drive but his commentary wasn’t particularly authoritative or well presented. Nevertheless, we are glad we did the tour.
That you are not going on the rope bridge. That was the reason I choose this tour. Soo dissapointing.
Hello Judella Sorry you were disappointed Nowhere on our site do we advertise crossing the bridge. We do as part of our itinerary visit a view point were you can see the bridge from a distance. It would not matter which tour you chose from Belfast as none visit the rope bridge All tour buses have been denied access to the bridge. Regards
horrible, directions given to use on tour operator website was wrong and caused use to miss tour. trying to contact tour operator no one would answer phone. still have not received any contact or reimbursement from this operator. do at own risk but i would not do it again
Hello Kim Thank you for your feed back Sorry you were late and missed your tour Our buses are clearly visible at the port and are parked approx 30 metres from the arrival tent. Your bus waited the advertised 30 mins for you with all the other passengers onboard before leaving. We had 140 passengers that day and only 1 no show. Regards
From start to finish Steve our driver and guide made us fee welcome. His commentary and knowledge was first class. Very comfortable coach (apparently only three weeks old) Communication with Odyssey was excellent.

This is a great tour, super well organized and our driver, Stephen was an excellent tour guide. We did the extra legroom bus which made for a very comfortable journey. We arrived at most of the top spots prior to the large buses which gave us a great opportunity to see the sites without as many people.
Stephen was an Excellent tour guide and driver! He knew which roads were closed and how to get around wherever we went! We learned many things about Belfast & Ireland that were very interesting and somewhat sad- I have to say our day in Belfast and the Giants Causeway will always be one of our favorite adventures- Thank you Stephen!!! 👍🏼👍🏼
We had Stephen for a tour guide. I swear, if my Mother had her way, she would have taken him with us the rest of our trip. Quite frankly, I agree with her. He was well spoken and had cracked jokes along the way. The country was absolutely phenomenal. The bus had plenty of leg room and wasn't cramped at all. We were one of the first on the site of The Giants Causeway so it wasn't very crowded. Bring some money for the shuttle bus; you'll definitely want it for the trip back to the top. They stopped at a very nice hotel for a prearranged lunch instead of following the buses to the usual spot. We had a couple of lunch options to choose from. There was a full bar available as well. The deserts looked amazing. Nothing felt rushed and they made sure everyone was counted for before setting off to the next spot. At the end they dropped us off at our cruise ship. It was one of my absolute favorite port stops we made thanks to this tour company.
