Auf dieser Tour haben Sie die Möglichkeit, einige der interessantesten Sehenswürdigkeiten wie die Teufelsbrücke, den Regenwald zu besuchen sowie die Schönheit der Insel zu sehen, während Sie durch einige malerische Dörfer fahren, auf dem Weg zum Nelson’s Dockyard Nationalpark, Heimat des berühmten Englischen Hafens, und benannt nach Horatio Nelson, der in Antiqua im 18. Jahrhundert diente. Diese Tour ist insofern einzigartig, als sie nach dem Besuch des Interpretation Centers (falls geöffnet) einen ersten Einblick in die Insel gibt, wo man die Geschichte von Antigua & Barbuda sehen und hören kann.

Fahren Sie nach Shirley Heights und schlendern Sie durch die alten Militärbefestigungen. Sie können atemberaubende Landschaften bei 360 Grad betrachten. Ein spektakulärer Blick über English Harbour und Falmouth Harbour begrüßt Ihre Augen und an einem klaren Tag können Sie die Nachbarinseln Montserrat und Guadeloupe sehen.
Die Werft erhielt ihren Namen von Admiral Horatio Nelson, einem britischen Marineoffizier, der von 1784 bis 1787 auf dieser Werft der Royal Navy lebte. Die Gebäude der Werft aus dem 18. und 19. Jahrhundert, die vollständig in ihrer ursprünglichen Pracht restauriert wurden, beherbergen moderne Annehmlichkeiten wie Geschäfte , Hotels und Yachthafengeschäfte. Nelsons Werft bietet viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Aktivitäten, die Besucher erkunden und genießen können. Eingebettet in den Park können Sie das Dockyard Museum im ehemaligen Admiral's House durchsuchen. Das Museum präsentiert den Besuchern Exponate zur Geschichte der Werft und zur aktuellen archäologischen Forschung auf der Insel. Das Copper and Lumber Store Hotel bietet Fünf-Sterne-Unterkünfte und ist ein großartiger Ort für besondere Anlässe. Es befindet sich auch auf der Werft. Besuchen Sie dort die Souvenirläden und Kunstgalerien. Nelsons Dockyard National Park, in dem sich auch Clarence House und Shirley Heights befinden, ist das einzige UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe des Landes.
Die Teufelsbrücke ist eine echte Brücke, die durch Jahrtausende alte Riffbildung und Erosion entstanden ist. Die Wellen des Atlantiks sind ständig in die Kalksteinfelsen gekracht, wodurch im Laufe der Zeit ein natürlicher Bogen voller Geysire und Lunker entstanden ist. Wellen brechen weiterhin gegen dieselben Küstenkalksteinfelsen und es ist ein atemberaubendes Naturphänomen.

As a solo female traveler, it is important to me to find ways to see different sites where I feel safe. This tour fit the bill. I was able to see various parts of the island and felt safe. In addition, there was just the right amount of time at each location. I didn’t feel rushed or that there was too much time waiting around. It was just right.

Blondell was awesome. She was very knowledgeable about the the island. She went above and beyond to make sure our experience was the best. She was able to make a quick stop at a pharmacy and found a store that had cut up pineapple 🍍, so we could try it. I would highly recommend the tour and Blondell.

What a fantastic excursion. Started out rocky because the instructions for meeting our Tour Guide were horrible. Spent about 45 minutes at the meeting location but no Pink Sign with our name. Ended up turning on my phone and we finally got connected. Viator needs to give better information regarding where to meet. That was the end of the negative. Met Michael in his Cadillac Escalade and off we went. He was a wealth of knowledge. We did circle the whole island and he had knowledge about every community. He was very accommodating with my hubby’s walker. Made sure we had a ramp, etc.

My husband and I took this tour a couple of weeks ago while on a cruise. Our driver, Benjamin, was outstanding. He took us all over Antigua, showing us so much of the island. My husband uses a wheelchair to walk distances, and Benjamin was so good about taking the chair in and out of the car. We went to Devil's Bridge and learned the history of the rock formation there. The walk down to see the bridge was really rough and rocky, but Benjamin patiently and carefully helped my husband get close enough to see the bridge. Then on Nelsons Dockyard where we saw amazing yachts and the historical naval yard. From there went to The Blockhouse Ruins and saw amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean. Our final stop was Shirley Heights with more amazing views. It was a great day, and Benjamin was very knowledgeable about the sites we saw. A great day all around! I would highly recommend this tour and especially Benjamin!

Driver answers to question was a simple yes or no. No narrative of the island. We had to ask all the question. Vehicle dirty

Broke car after 2 nd stop which was less then 50 % of the tour. Very old car and in bad condition. Driver was not able to solve the situation. No support from his office at all. Finally we organized a taxi back to our cruise ship by ourself. Still did not got reimbursed for the taxi fare back to the ship. Anyway a lost day in Antigua with very bad memories. Be careful if you wanna book a trip in Antigua. Your decision. Or let yourself guarantee that they use new cars. This was an axpansivw tour for 2 persons of more than 200 Euros
We sincerely apologize for the unfortunate experience you had during your tour with us which was totally beyond our control. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and we deeply regret that the vehicle's condition and subsequent breakdown disrupted your day in Antigua. This is not the level of service we strive to provide. As mentioned before, we had refunded you the amount we would have been paid from the VIATOR site along with the US$40 taxi fare. Total refunded was US$211.60. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused and hope you might consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide a much better experience.
