I did the two day tour on Lake Titicaca and had such a lovely experience. Abel was my guide and he was friendly, easy going, and made me feel comfortable throughout the trip. The islands, local families, and the views were unforgettable. So glad I chose Discover Lake Titicaca.
I had such a great time on my two day lake Titicaca tour, especially the homestay on Amantani Island. Everything was well organized from start to finish, and it really made the whole experience smooth and stress free. Our guide, Fausto was amazing, very friendly, patient and suoer knowledgable about the history and culture. Staying with a local family on Amantani was certainly a highlight of the trip. It felt very authentic and heart warming, like we were truly welcomed to their home. The simple lifestyle, the home cooked meals and beautiful views of the lake made it such a memorable experience. We alsoenjoyed visiting the floating Uros islands and learning how the communities live on the water. Overall,I am really happy i chose Discover Lake Titicaca for this tour. Everything was well taken care of and Fausto made the journey even more special.Highly recommended for anyone visiting Peru and wanting a meaningful cultural experience!
Me and my husband totally enjoyed this tour. We had a wonderful time visiting three different islands. Abel was a fantastic guide, very patient, friendly and shared many interesting stories about the local traditions. The overnight home-stay at Amantani Island was specially memorable and gave us a chance to experience the local way of life. A special thanks to Miluska, who was always available and made communication before and during the trip very easy. Everything felt well organized without feeling rushed. Definitely one of our favorite experiences in Peru.

How to package 3 cultures into two days and have the best time doing it. The homestay was unbelievable. Her warmth and care for everything including cooking, the concert night, and the walk up and down the steep slope to her home.

Truly a memorable trip! From the organization of tour to communication and tour guide, everything was handled smoothly. The pickup was ontime although my hotel was outside the centre of Puno. The guide was very nice and explained many interesting things about the local traditions, and way of life. My host family did not speak any English, but the guide was around to translate. They were very accommodating. On the second day of the tour, we had to hike a bit in Taquile Island, which was a bit challenging , especially because of altitude and sunny sky, would strongly recommend being prepared for this part of the tour and carrying some water in hand. Rest everything was pleasant and joyful.

I overall enjoyed my 2-day Lake Titicaca tour and came away with a much deeper appreciation for the local culture and way of life. The absolute highlight for me was staying with my host family on Isla Amantani. They were genuinely kind, welcoming, and incredibly patient. My Spanish is quite limited, but they made a real effort to communicate with me, which made our conversations feel special rather than stressful. Spending time with them felt authentic and is something I will remember very fondly. Unfortunately, the organisation of the tour didn't meet the same standard. The pickup from my accommodation did not work as planned. If I had not called after the taxi failed to arrive within the given timeframe, I likely would not have received any update and might have been marked as a no-show. Even after I shared my live location via WhatsApp and Google Maps, the driver still struggled to find my accommodation, despite it being correctly listed on Google Maps. Because of this delay, I missed my scheduled boat. There was also confusion about my booking, and staff were not aware that I had already paid for the return transport, which was stressful as I was told I might need to pay again. I was then rushed to the Uros Islands with another group. The guide spoke only Spanish at first, and I had to proactively ask for at least some information in English. Due to the earlier transport issues, I lost around two hours on Uros and missed key explanations. Although another guide later welcomed me kindly, I again had to ask proactively for information I had missed from the initial introduction. At the end of the tour, transport back was again unclear, and I waited nearly an hour. I understand the ongoing festival created logistical challenges, but it was still frustrating. That said, the staff member did try her best to help resolve the situation.

During your visit, the city of Puno was hosting the Virgen de la Candelaria Festival, one of the largest cultural festivals in Peru. Due to official road closures, parades, and restricted vehicle access throughout the city, several routes were temporarily blocked without much advance notice. As a result, our driver was required to take a significantly longer alternative route to reach your accommodation, which unfortunately caused the delay and the missed original boat departure. That said, while the festival created unusual traffic and access restrictions, we fully acknowledge that communication on our side should have been clearer and more proactive. You should never feel uncertain about your pickup, your payment status, or your return transport arrangements. We take this feedback seriously and have already reinforced internal coordination procedures during high-traffic events to ensure smoother communication in the future. Regarding the language issue at Uros, we apologize that you had to request English explanations. Our standard procedure is to assign bilingual guides, and we regret that the transition between groups was not seamless due to the earlier transport adjustment. We appreciate your understanding of the festival circumstances and your recognition that our team tried to assist throughout the day. I joined the 2 day Lake Titicaca tour as a solo female traveller, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. From the first contact, the team was professional, responsive, and made me feel completely safe and well supported. Visiting the Uros floating islands was fascinating, but the true highlight was the overnight stay on Amantani Island with a local family. I was welcomed with such warmth and kindness that I immediately felt at home. The meals were simple and delicious, and watching the sunset over the Lake Titicaca was absolutely magical. At night we visited the local cultural centre dressed in local attire where locals played some traditional folkloric musics. One the second day, we visited Taquile Island, where the views were breathtaking and the cultural insights were truly enriching . Our guide, Abel, was outstanding, knowledgeable, patient and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and traditions of Lake Titicaca. Heade sure everyone felt comfortable and well informed throughout the tour. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe, relaxed, and genuinely cared for during the entire experience.
