Reiseverlauf
Die Tour startet um 8:30 Uhr und der Reiseleiter holt von 7:30 bis 8:30 Uhr in Ihrer Hotellobby ab. Anschließend fahren Sie mit einem klimatisierten Fahrzeug etwa 2 Stunden nach Norden in Richtung Kulen Mountain. Genießen Sie die malerische Fahrt auf Ihrem Weg durch lokale Dörfer und grüne Tropenwälder. Sie besuchen Kambodschas größten liegenden Buddha, der auf Sandstein gemeißelt ist. Der Tempel befindet sich auf dem Hügel und kann über eine Treppe erreicht werden. Als nächstes machen Sie sich auf den Weg zum heiligen Fluss von 1000 Lingas. Das Flussbett ist interessanterweise mit zahlreichen Lingas verziert, einem phallischen Symbol des hinduistischen Gottes Shiva. Sie werden auch einige Felszeichnungen entlang des Flusses sehen, die hinduistische Gottheiten darstellen. Sie fahren weiter durch eine andere heilige Stätte, die Phnom Kulen Wasserfälle. Beruhigen Sie Ihre Sinne, indem Sie den Wasserfall beobachten, der die Felsen hinunterstürzt. We had an amazing trip to Kulen Mountain and Waterfall with Chenda and Lis. Chenda is a master of his domain when it coes to Khmer history. He was always ready with answers to our curiosity. When we reached the 1000 lingas Chenda drew a map in the dirt showing how the river how it flows into Siem Reap and its temples, along with the time periods of the temples. That presentation in the dirt was a master class it was like a powerpoint presentation with just dirt and sticks and impeccable details all drawn under a shaded tree. Lis was courteous and helpful during the trip together they made a memorable memory for us
We enjoyed seeing the Buddha, but the waterfalls was a lot of extra walking in high heat and that was not clear on the activity details.

Pickup on time. Very nice van for our group. Driver provided cold scented towels and icy cold water to keep us comfortable. It was a wonderful experience watching the cascading water. The final aspect of the cascading fall has to be approached climbing about 150 odd steps-wooden after some amount of walking. However, the effort fully justifies the scenery. Nearer to the vehicle parking area is the 1000 Shiva lingas embedded in the Kabal Spean river bed. The lingas were installed in the river bed to sanctify the water.
The trip was wonderful, our guides San and Mom took great care of us and shared many interesting stories. We saw and experienced a lot. The excursion was very successful. Thank you, Ingrida.
