Kauai : Na Pali Raft Schnorchel Abenteuer

Fred and his wife are a great team with a Sprinter vehicle for small tours. I booked this thinking we had to go to Volcanoes Park. Fred avoided the crowds & took us to even better lava fields, lava tubes, black sand beaches & water falls. I highly recommend Big Hawai’i Tours. The personal attention, picking us up at cruise ship & providing fruit drinks & snacks was great. We did the morning 5 hour tour & were back to our cruise in time for lunch. Thanks TA and Fred. Had an absolutely amazing time on this excursion and Hailey and Ke Ke took very good care of us for the duration of it! They are both very skilled at what they do, were very informative and a lot of fun! The ride is extreme, so be prepared for that, but the smaller boat size (I think there were 12 people on our boat) is what allows you to get up close and personal with the cliffs, sea caves and waterfalls that make up the character of this section of coastline. The sheer magnificence and beauty of the Nā Pali Coast is unmatched and I’m super-pleased we chose Kauai Sea Tours to share it with us! (Oh yeah, we also got to see sea turtles, Spinner Dolphins and a basking monk seal on our trip!)

We got lucky and had one of the calmest sea days of the summer. Our captain was so happy and she just glowed with excitement because we were able to go past the usual turnaround point and see caves that are normally not safe. That being said it was still an arduous adventure for me. I'm 58 and was the oldest on the boat. I would definitely do it again but want to caution anyone who is not in good shape physically. You have to be able to hold on tight for long stretches without a break. It was so intense for so long that I didn't even have a chance to put on another layer of sunscreen. The upside is you're laughing hysterically and having a great time with music blasting. The downside is that the next day you feel like someone beat you up and in my case I had blisters on my hands. They will offer you gloves. I recommend you use them. The younger people clearly seem to have an easier time. The snorkeling experience was wonderful, although we didn't see very much and I recommend that you snorkel away from the boat and a little closer to shore. Be sure to bring all the protection for the Sun and the wind and you absolutely will get wet. The food was okay and know that you don't get fed until way later in the day. So be sure to eat a good breakfast. I can't say enough about the crew. They truly made the experience what it was. I loved the camaraderie with the other boat that stayed with us and the fact that you can tell that these people don't just work for this company. They are like family. Also know that it can be incredibly rough out there and they will still do the excursion. They are very experienced and I was so impressed with our Captain's ability to handle the boat. They were constantly scanning the ocean for dangers and I felt very safe. I just can't imagine doing this adventure on a rough sea day as I feel like I barely survived what they called the perfect day of the whole summer.

Highly recommend this adventurous Nāpali Coast boat tour! Captain Josh and his son were amazing. Captain Josh’s great sense of humor and knowledge made the tour so much fun. Seeing dolphins and riding into the sea caves was definitely a highlight! I also loved snorkeling and the nature walk, and his son was very knowledgeable about the area. I felt safe the entire time, but fair warning the raft ride is ROUGH. Definitely not for the weak, but so much fun if you enjoy riding the waves! If you’re looking for adventure, incredible views, and a fun experience, definitely book this tour!

Captain KK and Eli were FANTASTIC! This excursion is pure adventure and their expertise keeps things fun, safe and informative. My wife and I had a great time and the views were unbeatable.

We had a really awesome time. We’ve done the bigger boats before and they were fun as well, but being right there at the water level with the dolphins was incredible. Captain Duff and crew member Elias were amazing as well.

Captain Paul and Josh were awesome. I was travelling solo and had the ABSOLUTE TIME OF MY LIFE! Book this if you want to have FUN! But be prepared, it’s on a pontoon & you’re going really fast ! My body is sore from the ride yesterday from holding on tight all day! You will HAVE A BLAST ! Book early morning for best scenery!

This is a good time. KK and Hailey were awesome. I highly recommend this tour. This is the fun boat. Don't take the boring larger watercraft.

We couldn't have had a better experience! Our captain and co captain were a great team. They were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Fun rafting experience, good food and plenty of drinks.
