Kapstadt: Wanderung zum Lion's Head bei Sonnenaufgang/Sonnenuntergang

Wir werden den Lions Head hinaufwandern, Kapstadts unbeschreiblichste Wanderung. Wir planen, entweder den Sonnenuntergang über dem Atlantik oder den Sonnenaufgang von den Hottentots Holland Bergen aus zu beobachten. Vor unserem Abstieg genießen wir einige erstaunliche Fotomöglichkeiten. Während einer Sonnenuntergangswanderung steigen wir mit unseren Taschenlampen (mitgeliefert) im Dunkeln ab. Während einer Sonnenaufgangswanderung können wir den ersten Teil im Dunkeln mit unseren Taschenlampen (mitgeliefert) wandern. Während die Wanderung als einfacher als der Tafelberg angesehen wird, handelt es sich an bestimmten Stellen immer noch um steiles felsiges und schmales Gelände ab etwa der Hälfte des Weges und um einen Abschnitt, in dem Stahlgriffe und -ketten verwendet werden müssen, um 2 Steigungen von etwa 3 zu erreichen Meter jeweils (nur nach oben und nicht nach unten). In der Tat ziemlich abenteuerlich. Diese Wanderung ist eine uralte Tradition für Einheimische, besonders während des Vollmonds und in klaren / windstillen Nächten / Morgen, in denen die Lichter der Stadt unten blenden und der Mond und die Sterne ihre Schönheit am Nachthimmel zeigen.

10/10 would recommend. One of the best things I did in Cape Town, and definitely worth the money. Our guide, Idrees, was awesome. He was organized, on time, a great conversationalist, and full of Cape Town local history. I completed this hike as a solo female traveler and would recommend it for others. I would discourage doing this hike alone as it is quite difficult (not a good trail for those with an inability to climb ladders or a deep fear of heights). Would use caution for small children. Wear shoes with decent tread if you packed them, the hike is intense but worth the views. I'd also recommend doing the pick up option as Ubers can be difficult to call from the trailhead later in the night. Enjoy!
We had a good time. Kurt is a great guide, he told us about the history of Cape Town and guided us through the hike. It was cloudy but he still made sure we got some cool pictures.

Kurt was an amazing guide, right from the very start he was proactive in sharing photos of the meeting point. Prioritised our safety at all times. Had rest points when needed and shared lots of history and personal stories that educated us. We really appreciated his guidance and time. Highly recommend it a guided hike. We were a Group of 7, range of ages from 8 to 52. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an incredible sunset hike up Lion’s Head with Idrees, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He was genuinely kind, incredibly knowledgeable, and shared so many interesting facts and stories along the way that the hike felt much easier than we expected. He always made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience. As a lovely surprise, he even handed out apples while we watched the sunset at the top—a small gesture that perfectly reflected his thoughtfulness. If you’re thinking about hiking Lion’s Head, go with Idrees. It made an already unforgettable experience even more special.
Had a really nice hike to the Lions Head during Sunset. The guide (Kurt) did a great Job, helping out on the route, taking pictures and good information about the city of cape town.
We had an amazing time hiking Lion's Head at sunrise! Carmen provided insightful background on Cape Town and the local fauna during the hike, and also took great pictures/videos of us throughout. She also tailored the hike to our level of expertise so that each member of our group felt comfortable and safe. I would recommend this to anybody who enjoys hiking with some minor challenge, as some light scrambling is required near the top, which we found to be particularly enjoyable. While we did not get to see a sunrise due to weather, rest assure that the low cloud cover is equally breathtaking to see.
