Juneau Wildlife Whale Watching

Absolutely the best crew of people on this excursion I have ever encountered! Six out of five, twelve out of ten 120 out of 100!!!!!

This was an amazing experience! The guides were incredible and very knowledgeable! They really made this excursion a lot of fun! Saw lots of whales and got some great footage! I highly recommend this tour!! A+++

We had an absolutely amazing experience on our whale watching tour, and we cannot say enough great things about Krichelle, Sophie, and Gwen. From the moment we stepped on the boat, they were professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable. The tour itself was incredible. We had the opportunity to see multiple whales, including a baby whale, and we were fortunate enough to see plenty of whale tails throughout the trip. Seeing these beautiful animals in their natural environment was truly unforgettable. We also got to see sea lions relaxing on a buoy, which was an unexpected and exciting part of the experience. Krichelle, Sophie, and Gwen did an excellent job making sure everyone had a great view while also providing interesting information throughout the tour. Their enthusiasm and passion for what they do really made the experience stand out. We would highly recommend this whale watching tour to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience. The crew, the boat, and the incredible wildlife sightings made this a 10/10 experience for us!

First off, All female crew (heck yeah!) Captain Krichelle, Sophie and Gwen were all amazing, very knowledgeable and made the experience fun. Our driver, Fred, was funny and knowledgeable as well. I would definitely recommend this tour to any one. Mendenhall Glacier was beautiful, it is self guided.

I’m going to preface this by saying that the tour operator was fantastic. I just came away feeling like whale watching may not be an activity for me. I also think I was spoiled by the dolphin excursion I did in Kaikoura, NZ, where the dolphins were constantly flipping, doing stunts, and following the boat, so I couldn’t help but compare the two experiences. I don’t remember the specific names of the guides, but the bus driver was absolutely fantastic and provided great commentary on the ride to and from the boat. He was also great at spotting eagles along the way. The staff on the actual boat tour were wonderful as well. They provided a wealth of information, were happy to answer questions, and were very upbeat and friendly. The actual wildlife viewing, however, fell short for me. Seeing one or two orcas and humpbacks from a very far distance was honestly underwhelming. Watching a whale do a small tail flip just didn’t hold my attention for very long, although I seemed to be in the minority because everyone else appeared to be blown away by it. I completely understand that you can’t control nature and that the boats have restrictions on how close they can get to the animals, so I don’t fault the tour operator for that. It just is what it is. For me, watching whales from a distance was, dare I say, a little boring. I think seeing breaching, bubbling, or other more dramatic behavior would be incredible, but I imagine those are relatively rare experiences. So overall, I would absolutely recommend the operator based on the guides and organization of the tour—I just don't think whale watching itself is for me.

Justin, Gwen and Kacie were amazing! The trip was fantastic and we saw so many whales and learned an abundance of facts about Alaska and the whales. The crew it top-notch. They love their job and it shows. Thank you for a great afternoon in Juneau!

Excellent trip. Saw many whales. The crew (James, Ash, Claire) were very informative and funny. Our driver Lexi was great with many dad jokes!
