Fahren Sie durch Downtown Juneau. Wir kommen an historischen Gebäuden aus dem Bergbauboom des 20. Jahrhunderts vorbei, darunter das älteste derzeit betriebene Hotel Alaskas! Wir passieren auch das Alaska Capitol, den Sitz der Staatsregierung, und das Governor’s Mansion.
Sehen Sie Juneau Landschaften von der Südspitze von Douglas Island. Sehen Sie auch einige der Ruinen, wie das Pumpenhaus, der Treadwell Mine, einer Goldmine, die vor über hundert Jahren eingestürzt ist.
Eine majestätische, lebensgroße Bronzewalstatue steht als künstlerische Erinnerung an über fünfzig Jahre Staatlichkeit Alaskas. Panoramablick auf den Gastineau Channel und Douglas Island. Fotomöglichkeiten gibt es reichlich.
Eine tolle Foto-Op vom Mendenhall-Gletscher, mit einer schönen Wiese aus Feuerkraut im Vordergrund! Sie erfahren auch mehr über die jüngsten jährlichen Überschwemmungen des Mendenhall River.
Dieser wunderschöne See hat die atemberaubende Mendenhall Towers Bergkette als Kulisse, und Sie können einen Blick auf den Mendenhall Gletscher erhaschen. Anhand eines vor einem Jahrhundert aufgenommenen Fotos vor Ort kann man sehen, wie dramatisch sich der Gletscher im Laufe der Zeit verändert hat.
Sie erfahren mehr über den kompletten Lachslebenszyklus. Im Inneren der Brüterei befinden sich zwei Touchpools, ein zylindrisches Aquarium und ein Souvenirladen. (Anmerkung : Die Lachsleiter öffnet am 21. Juni; Wildtiere wie Adler, Robben und Seelöwen können normalerweise gesichtet werden).
Ob Sie sich nun als religiös betrachten oder nicht, dieser heilige Ort bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick auf sein gepflegtes Gelände sowie die umliegenden Berge und das Meer. Adler und Wale können gesichtet werden, sowie Laichlachs (je nach Monat).

Allan did a great job and is a wealth of information. We even saw a black bear. We highly recommend.
Allan was wonderful and he is great at working with your cruise ship schedule. He was great about sharing info about the area. He can adjust your tour to fit what you want to see.
