Jozani Forest Reserve Halbtägige geführte Tour von Sansibar

Beschreibung

Enjoyed this with the family. Saw the rare red colobus monkey. Our guide was well educated and versed with the surrounding and felt safe and welcomed.
Jozani Forest in Zanzibar was a wonderful nature experience. The forest is green and peaceful, and we saw many red colob
We were staying in Nungwi (North Zanzibar) so there was a long drive to and from the national park, about 90 minutes each way, so we were effectively in the car for the same length of time as the experience itself - just something to bear in mind. We got picked up at around 8:30am and arrived back at the hotel 2pm ish. The experience itself was really interesting it was split into two. The first bit was where the blue and red columbus monkeys were in the national park. The second was in the mangroves (10 minute drive between them) which also included seeing some crabs and fish in the swamps. When we were seeing the monkeys we were actually really lucky and saw an infant snake (this is really rare, so much so all the guides were excited about it!). Otherwise in terms of animals it was pretty limited to just those. Our tour guide was really knowledgeable about the animals and the vegitiation in the park, calling out what was used for what and why. The mangrove
Our guide was excellent and knew a lot about the Flora and Fana in the area. We were fortunate to be able to have close encounters with the red Colobus monkeys!
The guide was knowledgeable and knew where to find tons of monkeys. The walk was lovely, and the monkeys were totally worth the trip.
Rashid, our driver and tour guide arrived on time (before time!) and welcomed us at our pick up location. Our drive to our activity was filled with great talk along the way on many subjects of interest. We appreciated catching up on local events. Rashid conducted an excellent tour at our location, providing history and short stories about various elements of the place. He was patient, and responsive to our requests. Certainly could not ask for more.
Communicated with the company via WhatsApp a day before and then the day of the tour. Quite happy with the pick up and drop off ease. And then we had a very nice half day tour to the nature preserve. Our driver/tour guide was professional, gave us great info about the area and animals, and appreciated his skillful driving. It was the rainy season and he even had umbrellas for us to use. We learned a lot about the area and we had a great time. Saw lots of animals and lots of the monkeys.
You have to see it, the Red Colobus monkeys are only found here. The mangrove forests are also interesting. For me the trip was worth it
We really enjoyed the visit to the Jozani Forest Reserve. Our tour guide told us everything about the flora and fauna of the national park. It was very interesting. The monkeys are all very cute and peaceful. We also saw several species of birds, butterflies, small reptiles and elephant shrews. We then drove to the mangroves. There we could see fish swimming through the mangroves and crabs walking through the swamp. We really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend it.
The monkeys were awaiting for us at the entrance they were literally all over the place, jumping having so much fun. We saw 3 monkeys carrying their babies it was beyond sweet..They will come around you don't be scared they are unbothered with your presence, they are trying to find their love ones, eating or just having fun..It was literally raining monkeys we saw both (blue and red)..Sarah is the BEST she is knowledgeable, kind, respectful and patient..Sarah is also a GREAT photographer LOL we have so many great memories/photos/videos from this tour because of her taking the time to take videos/photos of us.. MUST GO!! Thank you Sarah from the Twin Mother/Daughter from USA XOXO
