Nachdem Sie vom Hotel abgeholt wurden, beginnt die Tour am Shatti Al-Qurum (neben dem Intercontinental Hotel). Nakhl ist ein typisches omanisches Dorf. Es liegt am Fuße der Berge in der Nähe einer reichlich vorhandenen Wasserquelle, die ausgedehnte Dattelpalmenplantagen bewässert. Die Nakhl-Tour beginnt mit der Fahrt in Richtung Nakhl Fort. Wenn Sie sich Nakhl nähern, achten Sie auf die Festung, die sich auf einem Hügel außerhalb der Stadt befindet. Der Ursprung der Festung ist vorislamisch mit wichtigen Beiträgen der Dynastien Al Ya'ruba und Al Bu Sayed. Wir werden die Festung von außen (Fort ist wegen Renovierungsarbeiten geschlossen) und das mit Mineralien beladene Wasser der heißen Quellen in Nakhl (Al Thowarah) besuchen Heiße Quelle). Dann halten wir in Seeb Souq am Meer für einen Fotostopp. Die Tour endet in der Avenue Mall und wir bringen Sie zurück zu Ihrem Hotel.

Das Nakhal Fort ist eines der bekanntesten Forts im Oman. Das auf einem großen Felsen erbaute Fort wurde im Laufe der Jahrhunderte mehrfach verbessert und heißt heute Besucher willkommen, die einen Panoramablick auf das Dorf Nakhal und die im Museum untergebrachte Sammlung historischer Artefakte genießen möchten.

Great tour with an informative audio guide, pickup was on time. There were no other tourists in the fort and it was nice and quiet, it’s a very well preserved and impressive structure with beautiful mountains in the background. I highly recommend this tour!

I booked two back to back trips with this company. After booking 2 days later got an email from them saying the 'port' was closed and asked me if I wanted to still take it or cancel. After a couple of email exchanges and still not clear what options I had, on the my first tour I asked the driver to help me and clarify. He connected me to the office and we agreed to cancel the tour as it was not the 'port' but the 'fort' which was the main attraction that was closed, the lady on the phone confirmed and agreed to refund. Long and behold the driver then arrives at the hotel for pick up. I told him it was cancelled and he went away. No surprise that my refund was never processed and all emails were ignored.
