Sally was very professional and very efficient. As a Jeju native she gave us a broad outline of the island’s geography, culture and everyday life. She took us to the amazing natural sites and gave us a tour of the Osulloc tea museum. We enjoyed several beaches and the legendary women’s diving attraction. She kindly gifted my wife with a set of Korean beauty masks at the Innisfree center. She took us to great restaurants and checked on us if we were ok at nights back at the hotel. Communications with her before and in between the tours via WhatsApp were perfect, she always replied to our messages within minutes. As for the company “this is Korea”, they were fantastic throughout the preparation time when I first contacted them asking them to fill up our days in Korea with exciting and meaningful programs. They were fully open to my requests and created a custom made itinerary for Seoul, Busan and Jeju Island. They also sent me a fantastic color brochure with the exact sites we were going to see, then detailed descriptions as to why those sites were interesting. They also included several high resolution photographs of the sites.
We had a wonderful 3 days on Jeju Island with Sook Hee Gang (Sally). As she learned our interests, she made suggestions for areas and experiences that we hadn't known of. For example, we loved seeing the haenyo divers' presentation and museum, and when she spotted some divers at work off the shore she stopped so we could get a closer view. As a native of Jeju, she was full of history and myths about the island. Thank you to Sally and to Richard at This Is Korea for being accomodating and setting up our Korea tours and airport pickups/dropoffs.
We were a group of 12, family and friends. Our tour guide and driver was Cindy. She is amazing, very informative, helpful and courteous. We had a great time for 4 days in Jeju. Really recommend her.
Cindy is the one tour guide you will need and want. She has all the local knowledge that can help with trip updates due to weather, whims and food cravings! We really enjoyed Jeju. Jeju is a beautiful and peaceful place. And even after the first time there, we still think it is necessary to have Cindy as a guide and local friend for our next trips!!
The guide was punctual. But it seems that she picked us up in her own private car which was a bit dirty and messy. The air con of the car did not seem to be working so it was quite unpleasant to travel in. Due to the rain, we were not able to go to the maze park. So we enquired if we could go to the green tea plantation but she said it’s not possible because it would take 2.5 hours. We decided to end the tour early and we reached the hotel even before the schedule end time. Seems like the guide only wanted it to be convenient for her and not to show the beauty of Jeju.
Hi Daphne! I'm sorry that our guide couldn't make you a satisfactory Jeju tour. If you couldn't go to Maze Park because of the rain, the guide should have introduced you to other great places, and I think she was lacking in that regard. If there's another chance, our company will pay more attention to make it a better tour.
The proposed itinerary for the day was spot on; our tour guide Irene is highly knowledgeable, professional, kind, and an excellent photographer. Highly recommended!
I am so happy that you can remember beautiful Jeju with good images. I look forward to making more good memories together next time you come to Korea again.
We had a fantastic time with our knowledgeable guide, Janice. She was accomodating and was able to customize the tour to our exact interests and timing. The driver was great too. Wonderful tour of East Jeju!
It was a great pleasure for us to be able to help you with your Jeju Island tour and have our guide accompany you. I hope you will keep your good memories of Korea for a long time.
We found This is Korea on Google and highly recommend booking with them for a private tour. Albert was helpful and accommodating from the start and helped tweaked our 2 days itinerary in Jeju. Bruce was always responsive and helped us with discounted Everland tickets in Seoul - he literally responds immediately on receiving my emails! The celebrity vans for airport transfers were more than enough to accommodate a family of 8 with 10 pieces of luggage - they were clean and spacious and came with a big TV screen for long rides. Our driver cum guide in Jeju, Cindy, was very responsive and contacted us the night before to confirm timings, pickup and itinerary. Cindy is a local who knows Jeju like the back of her hand and has all the restaurants on speed dial on her phone. It was raining the first day in Jeju and she switched our itinerary to ensure we visited all the attractions. Not speaking the language, we would have wasted a lot of time without her purchasing tickets and translating for us! The other drivers in Seoul were extremely kind and accommodating esp on the day we were more than 1h late due to the long queues at Everland. Some may find their pricing to be more than than other service providers but trust me, they are so reliable and responsive it's worth every extra cent. Who wants to be stressed about the mundane while on holiday. Most amazing thing is all the trip planning was remote, via email!
I am more than happy to hear that you had a satisfactory trip. Keep the good memories in Korea and be sure to contact This is Korea next time you come back to Korea. We will do our best with better service.
Andrew was a wonderful tour guide. We had suggestions on where to go but he had one improvement on a site. He said there was some place better. And he was right! Thank you Andrew! This was the best way to see jeju. Highly recommend to see places without worrying about driving, parking or directions!
I am very happy to hear that you had a satisfying and memorable trip. If you have a chance to come to Korea next time, please contact our company. We will do our best to make it a good trip.
Camilla did a wonderful job of showing us the lighthouses of Jeju. She stopped in spots that enabled us to get very good photos.
