Ganztägige anpassbare private Seoul Highlight Tour

We are a family of 6 (kids age range from 17-24) and had an excellent guide in Jun for 4.5 days straight in Seoul and to Nami Island. I would highly recommend Jun (especially for local food recommendations) and would absolutely hire him again if we come back to Korea. Jun listened to what we wanted to do and updated our original itinerary schedule to minimize travel time and maximize what we wanted to do (not an easy task with 4 kids all wanting to do and see different things). He always showed up promptly to pick us up and was very flexible. He took us to the best Korean BBQ I have ever eaten and to a number of local restaurants (most with no/very little tourists) that made us feel like we were getting a real taste of Korean cuisine. He was a great photographer with the iPhone and took great family pictures of us. He also knew how to avoid and navigate the crowds at the crowded tourist spots. I genuinely enjoyed having conversations with him about Korea life and how it is different (& similar) in the US. Five stars for Jun!

We could not have had a better guide than Christine. The heat in Seoul and our struggle with it meant that throughout the day she suggested adjustments to the schedule for us. Her suggestions were always good and demonstrated the benefit of having a private rather than group tour. If you are booking a private tour you will be very lucky to have Christine as your guide with her husband as the driver.

As we had only four days to explore Seoul, we needed to find a tour that showcased the city’s highlights on one of those days. Booking was a breeze, as it always is with Viator, and the company was incredibly responsive. A few days before our guide, Song, arrived, she reached out to gather our input on any specific sights we wanted to see. I mentioned that we had only one day to make the most of our visit, and she crafted an impeccable itinerary! We spent an incredible day with Song in a clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned luxury minivan, taking in as much as we could. Song was not only informative and entertaining but also incredibly pleasant to be around.!

We had an amazing experience on this private guided tour in Seoul! This was actually our second time booking this tour, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. Our guide Sophia Kim was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the day so enjoyable. She shared fascinating history, local recommendations, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the entire tour including cold water since it was a very hot day. Even though we’d been before, we still learned new things and had such a memorable experience. The personalized attention and flexibility of a private tour really make all the difference. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Seoul, whether it’s your first trip or you’re returning like we did. Thank you for another fantastic day Sophia and we can’t wait to come back again!

We enjoyed everything about our experience - the points of interest, the convenience of having a private tour, and most especially, our guide Jung! She was what made the entire tour more fun due to her personality and she was well-informed. I was also most grateful for her attentiveness to one of our group members who is elderly and used a walker to get around. Jung made sure to ensure he was comfortable, could get around and even spent rest stops with him to keep him company while the rest of the group spent time shopping. Jung is an asset to your company and I would recommend her to anyone interested in booking with your company. Great job!

Song is a wonderful tour guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable about Korean history and the sites that we were seeing. She brought us to a Buddhist temple that we had not initially put on our itinerary, but was absolutely beautiful and magical. The tour was entirely flexible and we were able to see the sites that mattered to us. It was really nice having a bus where we could leave our stuff and come back to without having to worry about getting a taxi. The biggest highlight, though was Song.

We had such a fun day learning about Korea and seeing the sights in Seoul with Christine as our tour guide. It is nice her husband Young is the driver so you just feel like you are with family. They are both very friendly and accommodating people. Our daughters had fun getting dressed in the traditional Hanbok dresses. It was a hot day so Christine made sure to try and keep us in shaded areas as much as possible. It was great she knew the good picture spots and took them with her phone and sent them to us later. That made it easy to capture all the photos as a family. We enjoyed our traditional Korean bbq lunch and felt like we were in a spot the locals eat at. Overall we very much enjoyed our day and Christine was a wonderful guide. Highly recommend this experience!

10/10 Experience. This was truly a memorable day for us. Song was at our hotel on time. We discussed the itinerary and were able to give our input to truly make this a customizable day. Our hotel was about an hour away from our first stop. But Song made the ride seem short by teaching us about Korean heritage and culture. She even played DJ and took song requests to listen to by my daughter. First stop was a Hanbok rental outside of Gyeongbokgung Palace. The Hanbok rental is optional and a separate fee. But we chose this option to fully immerse in the experience. Song always knew the exact moment we needed to be somewhere throughout the day and exactly where we needed to be, to get the best views and be at the front of the lines. And despite the rain, she was able to capture beautiful pictures for us. We also went to Bukchon and saw the breathtaking homes that people still live in. It was here that we were surprised to stop by a tea house where we had delicious tea and desserts. This was optional, and the tea and desserts were not included. But it was fantastic. The tea house was quaint and Song gave us access to the best seat there. I was also impressed that Song was able to change on the spot where we went for lunch. We had a separate experience booked for the market on another day. So we decided not to go there for lunch. Instead, Song quickly did some research and took us to a phenomenal little vegan restaurant. Food was flavorful and delicious. We also went to a shopping mall that was filled with local vendors. Loved it. Finally, we went to N Seoul Tower and rode the cable car to the top. Gorgeous views. My 15 year old daughter adored Song and I did as well. By the end of the tour, which went from 8am to 5pm, Song felt like a family friend. She was attentive to every detail, from providing an extra umbrella because we only had one, to having water available in the car, to providing a balance of guidance as well as free time. She let us know exactly when and where she would meet us when she gave us time to ourselves. And she was consistently there on time. The one time she was 2 minutes late because of traffic, she sent me a message to let me know her ETA. This attention to detail is what made Song an exceptional tour guide. This was an amazing experience, that really was customizable, even on the spot, and we will never forget it.
