Zeynep was our our guide and she was awesome. She was so positive, engaging, and very easy to talk to. She showed us a great time. The food was the highlight for us.
You will eat a lot, make sure you go hungry. We were a bigger group and had two guides: Sule and Zey. Both lovely, soft spoken and very knowledgeable. The Dervish show was mesmerizing interesting. After the show you get taken to a restaurant where they keep the dishes coming. Lots of it and all delicious traditionally Turkish. I highly recommend this activity 👌
Our guide was Zeynep she was so sweet and we learned so much from her!! She made the tour really fun and a great experience.
Şule and Zen are superior hosts. They went above and beyond the scope of their responsibilities ensuring we had a good time and we were able to participate. My travel companion and I are mobility impared, hence they walked at our pace and took turns pushing my wheelchair. They are both knowledgeable in Turkish History and Folklore. They are pleasant, professional, and customer oriented. The driver was a Champion maneuvering through the busy narrow streets and delivered us safely to our destination and then dropped us very, very close to our hotel. We were fortunate to have them and will never forget them. Your company is also lucky to have all three of them in your professional team.
Zeynep is and was a delightful guide and human being. She planned every detail from our transportation to the most fun and interesting street food tasting prior to our meal. I have to be strictly gluten-free, and she went out of her way to not only hunt down gf bread, but made sure I had plenty to eat that was safe and delicious. Our dinner was so fun and we were well taken care of by the restaurant owners. We each received a cute printed souvenir bag with Istanbul highlights on the front, and were completely full from our wonderful feast. I highly recommend this tour or any tour lead by this terrific young woman. A special experience I will long remember!
We saved this for our last night in Istanbul as our treat experience - it was worth the wait, it was fabulous. Zey was a truly friendly, kind and informative guide, it was like being shown around a friend's hometown. Her passion and knowledge for the culture and food is infectious and we left feeling full, happy and inspired to know more about this wonderful city. We will be back to explore the list of recommendations we were given. Thank you Zey, you made our last night one to remember.
Our tour guide Zey was incredible, very social and personable, she is really in the right profession as a tour guide. Thankyou so much for making the tour and our time memorable.
We had a wonderful evening! Zey was an excellent guide! She was warm and put everyone at ease by encouraging interaction between the whole group. She was passionate about her country and this was reflected in her explanations and anecdotes. Despite this being repeated work for her, she never seemed distracted or unengaged. She made sure to relate to everyone across the group and was happy to answer the many questions asked of her. Thank you Zey! The experience of being part of a spiritual service rather than a ‘show’ was very special. The restaurant was lovely and the pre-dinner tasting menu was great. Everyone should do this!
The dervish session was spiritual and quite nice. What made the trip more interesting and enjoyable was the company of Zeynep who was so passionate and friendly in making the trip comfortable for us and very pleasant.
This was an excellent tour. But I'll start with the negative... I nearly didn't find the pickup point. I was given instructions for taking public transportation from the cruise port, but despite growing up using New York City buses and trains, I couldn't figure out how to find or use the tram. I ended up taking an extraordinarily expensive cab ride and the cabbie didn't even drop me off at the correct spot. Fortunately I had allowed time for getting lost. The tour guide Zey was in contact with me and helped me find my way to the spot. I was frustrated and hot so the evening did not get off to a good start. But after that, everything was wonderful. Zey is a ray of sunshine and her tour is smooth and very well rehearsed since she has been doing it for two years. We enjoyed two examples of street food before we went to see the dervishes. Then we took the van to a neighborhood restaurant which served the most incredible food. We all wanted more but we were so full. After the meal, the van dropped us back at our hotel or the cruise port which I appreciated so much. As a gift, Zey gave us a little tote bag with line drawings of sites and symbols to help us remember our time in Istanbul. After a frustrating start, I thoroughly enjoyed this tour.
Thank you for the nice review Susan. The negative aspect you mentioned has nothing to do with us. You will get on the tram using your credit card at the Port and get off after 3 stops, that's all.
