Der erste Halt ist im Nationalpark, der für die Geschichte Islands sehr wichtig ist, da dort im Jahr 930 das isländische Parlament Althingi zusammentrat, das eine der ältesten parlamentarischen Institutionen der Welt ist, die bis heute in Betrieb ist. Die Althingi trafen sich hier bis zum Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts. Am 17. Juni 1944 wurde an diesem Ort die volle Unabhängigkeit der Republik Island erklärt. 1928 wurde in diesem Gebiet ein Nationalpark eingerichtet, der 2004 in die UNESCO-Welterbeliste aufgenommen wurde. Two adult couples booked this private Golden Circle tour from Reykjavik and it exceeded our expectations. From the moment our friendly guide picked us up at our hotel, everything was seamless and personalized. We loved having the freedom of a private tour — no rushing, no large groups, and the ability to ask questions and go at our own pace. Our guide, George, was knowledgeable, sharing fascinating facts and stories that went well beyond any guidebook. The itinerary was perfect. We visited the highlights of the Golden Circle — Thingvellir National Park (the geology and history here are mind-blowing), the erupting Geysir area, and the powerful Gullfoss waterfall. We also went “beyond the main attractions,” which made the day extra special. Stopping at local farms, seeing the beautiful Icelandic horses, and visiting the stunning Kerid Crater Lake were real highlights. The landscapes were dramatic and otherworldly — exactly what we hoped for in Iceland. Simon was the best guide and beyond knowledgeable. The tour team was so accommodating- picked me up from my hotel and dropped me off at the airport. (Airport an additional fee) I loved the stops on the tour with the waterfall fall, national park, feeding the horses. Etc. loved it all. Great tour and guide. Highly recommend
Incredible experience, saw everything the golden circle had to offer at our own pace . Simon was an excellent perfect English speaking tour guide . To anyone on the fence about a public vs private tour, spend the extra money it is absolutely worth it .
A tour of the Golden Ring with Anna is not just a trip, it's a real trip in the heart of Iceland. Anna knows every waterfall, every stone, and knows how to tell them in a way that makes it impossible to break away. We stayed in the most picturesque places, took pictures without crowds, tasted local ice cream on the farm and drank hot chocolate from geysers. Special thanks for the comfort - new car, blankets, water and light snacks. Anna senses the band's rhythm and makes the route truly personal. It was a perfect day!
Definitely a tour you must take in Iceland. We enjoy touring with a private drive. We have used Viator in other countries and had good experiences

Had a great tour operator, Anna, who organized an awesome tour of “The Golden Circle” around Reykjavík, Norway. Anna had chosen an outstanding tour guide, George, who drove us around and narrated about the sites and scenery while driving very safely. George took us to a dairy farm where we had homemade ice cream and then later he took us to a tomato farm and vineyard for lunch. Pickup and drop off was well organized. I’d give the tour a 10/10! Well done Anna and George.
