Reiseverlauf
Erste Station des Tages ist der ikonische Seljalandsfoss. Ein atemberaubender majestätischer Anblick mit der Möglichkeit, hinter dem Wasserfall zu gehen! Nachdem wir Seljalandsfoss genossen haben, machen wir eine kurze Wanderung zum Nachbar Gljúfrarbúi (Derjenige, der im Berg wohnt), um seine Schönheit zu bestaunen. Wie der Name schon sagt, ist der Wasserfall im Inneren des Berges versteckt, aber leicht zu finden, wenn man die Route kennt.
Weiter geht es in das Dorf Vík í Mýrdal, ein erstaunliches kleines Dorf und wahrscheinlich eine der meistfotografierten Siedlungen Islands. Die ikonische Kirche ist in allen Fotoanzeigen zu sehen, und die Aussicht von der Kirche ist atemberaubend. Dort machen wir unsere Mittagspause, bevor wir unsere Reise fortsetzen.
Der schwarze Sandstrand von Reynisfjara ist eine der größten Attraktionen Islands und die ikonischen Reynisdrangar-Klippen, die aus dem Meer herausragen. Vorsicht, die Gezeiten können sich anschleichen.
Wir machen einen Spaziergang auf der wilden Seite in Richtung Gletscher und stellen unsere Füße sanft an den Rand. Mach ein Selfie und voila, wir können behaupten, auf einen Gletscher getreten zu sein.
Der majestätische Skógarfoss Wasserfall ist 60 Meter hoch. Man kann stundenlang darauf starren. Wir werden 30 Minuten damit verbringen

Abholorte & -zeiten
Die Abholung beginnt 30 Minuten vor Abfahrtszeit. Bitte halten Sie sich an Ihrem Abholort bereit, da der Kleinbus alle Passagiere in diesem 30-minütigen Zeitrahmen abholt. Aufgrund der städtischen Vorschriften ist es großen Fahrzeugen verboten, einige Straßen in der Innenstadt von Reykjavik zu betreten. Daher werden bestimmte Abhol- und Abgabestellen, sogenannte Bushaltestellen, verwendet.

Even though it was a very rainy day, the tour was wonderful and our guide made it fun. Unlike some other tours (non-Viator) we had plenty of time at each stop. The driver/tour guide was very knowledgeable of the area and made the drive a very memorable experience. Also, the price is very reasonable and 1/3rd of what the cruise line wanted to charge. Though it is a long tour, it was broken up in a way to allow for bathroom breaks. We have never gone wrong with Viator!
The Iceland South Coast sites small group tour that we went on was fantastic! It was done by East West Tours and our tour guide was Martin. Martin was a wealth of Icelandic folklore, knowledge about all the sites we saw, and Icelandic statistics! We couldn’t have had a better tour guide! If you booked this tour, I recommend you ask for Martin !💙 Godafoss Falls is spectacular. the black sand Beach is amazing, the church in Vik is a great viewing point, and the Sólheimajökull Glacier was incredible!!!

Great tour. Our guide was very informative and pointed out many things as we were driving. All of the stops were good. Our guide watched the weather and mixed up the order to save us from hitting the best sights in the rain
Great tour with a real mixture of sights. Small comfortable bus. Best of all was the guide - Michaela - who has a great sense of humour; kept us well informed; and kept checking the weather reports to rearrange the order of sights visited. She was brilliant. She also allowed just the right amount of time at each stop - long enough that you didn't feel rushed, but short enough that you weren't kicking your heels. Do take waterproofs for the waterfall visits!
The best tour we did in Iceland. Excellent guide, comfortable bus and great locations. Wished we had booked our other tours with Eastwest.
This was an enjoyable day trip! Our guide, Oscar, was top notch. He shared a lot of interesting facts during our drives between stops. The south coast landscape is incredible and not to be missed. I had my elder mother with me and she was able to participate in everything except walking behind the waterfall. She was happy to sit and watch the waterfall. Plenty of time was spent at each site with opportunities to buy coffee, lunch or snacks along the way. Highly recommended!
Leroy with Easywest did a great job with our tour today! He was energetic and entertaining and we learned a lot! The time at each location gave tourists ample exploring/eating opportunities! My favorite spots were the black sand beach and the secret waterfall!
Very informative and friendly. Bus was very comfortable and had convenient bathroom stops. Rodger made the experience a once in a lifetime memory, making Iceland enchanting.
