Im Þingvellir-Nationalpark erkunden Reisende eine der historisch und geologisch bedeutendsten Stätten Islands. Im Geysir-Geothermiegebiet erkunden Reisende eine aktive Geothermielandschaft mit dampfenden Schloten und sprudelnden heißen Quellen. Höhepunkt ist der Strokkur-Geysir, der regelmäßig ausbricht und alle paar Minuten heißes Wasser hoch in die Luft schickt. Der Fortgeschrittener erklärt die geothermale Aktivität des Gebiets und was diese natürlichen Ausbrüche verursacht.
Kerið ist ein markanter Vulkankrater, der für seine lebhaften roten Hänge und den türkisfarbenen See am Boden bekannt ist. Besucher können am Rand entlang spazieren, um einen Panoramablick auf den Krater und die umliegende Landschaft zu genießen, oder einem sicheren Weg hinunter zum See selbst folgen. Der Ort bietet einen genauen Blick auf Islands Vulkangeologie und ist ein einfacher, zugänglicher Halt, der Zeit für Fotos und kurze Spaziergänge bietet.

If you've been to Yellowstone in the US, the Geyser Valley isn't all that impressive, but the view of the Ling Glacier, if you get a clear sunny day, is. We also enjoyed the small lical surprise & the waterfall. However, our guide Viktoria was a blast- her stories were funny & informative- and the bus was comfortable. While they didn't hold any of the seats for easy access for handicapped ridrs, we did manage to find a pair by the middle doors after getting in from the front if the bus at the start , so getting in & out at stops from the mud-doors made it eadier on my husband.
Very informative guide Viktoria but was almost a whistle stop tour, felt rushed at times Golden circle is a must do, visited all the popular sites However bus didn’t turn up at collection point until 45 minutes after allotted time of 9am although the company eventually did message to say bus was on its way Not enough time at the stops to completely appreciate the sights
Everything was nice. The Geisler was every 5 minutes but if you blink, you miss it!

Viktoria was awesome! I almost missed this day due to lengthy customs; NCL said anything after 11:00 would be fine, but I barely made it to the bus by 11:15, I had to explain my case to two agents to get through.
