It is a great service. Dominique was an excellent guide, providing a good plan based on our goal. We wanted to go to both Moraine and Louise. In addition, hike to lake Agnes. She gave us a good plan based on that, very helpful. Thank you Dominique for making our trip memorable.
Dominique,Bonnie & Lewis made our trip very special. They were knowledgeable, entertaining, & very friendly. Dominique helped us plan an itinerary that allowed time for us to have Tea at the Fairmont (I would love to see this incorporated into the HopOn schedule).. we had a wonderful time-thanks so much! ( This includes our Bus 1 driver-didn’t catch his name)..
They are top notch to work with. Very professional and willing to help. The guide stopped at each group to ask about the next day plans and if anyone needed help, didn’t mattter if they were planning to go on the bus or not. He gave recommendations on dinner options , how to schedule activities , best time to avoid crowds and pretty much anything you would need . They were very friendly had so much information
Through no fault of our own, we experienced a train locomotive malfunction that delayed our arrival into Banff the night before our Hop On Tour reservation. Since we had no idea the train would be delayed by 8 hours we were unable to cancel 24 hours in advance. I notified Viator the moment I had cell service of the cancellation. Viator has refused to issue a refund and the tour provider also said they cannot issue a refund because Viator collected our payment. I will not use Viator for any future tours. Be careful in using a company that does not stand by its customers.
Sorry to hear your train was delayed and this affected your time in Banff. It is important to check the terms and conditions and cancellation policy before booking with Viator. Viator offers a very generous 24hr cancellation policy and this cancellation came in at 1am, 6hrs before the scheduled tour. The cancellation policy will always be respected within this 24 hour time frame. There was an option given at that time in the morning to take a later departure at 9:30am as to not start as early and to be able to make the tour. We did have guests from the delayed train on the tour that day.,They were a bit tired but had a great day.
I picked this Hop on and Hop off bus to give me time to see Lake Morraine and hike to Consolation Lakes. We spent a good amount time here and we were able to see Lake Louise as well. Everyone was so informative, helpful and kind.
Excellent experience with both teams currently in operation. Short-notice booking at a reasonable price-performance ratio was successful. Nice choice of routes. Highly recommended, extremely friendly, helpful, and informative support during the trip. Very flexible daily planning within Banff National Park is possible, as you do not have to commit to specific routes and time slots in advance on the booked day. Rides in school buses are a special experience! We were completely satisfied, would love to do it again anytime!
Worth every penny! Great guides. Even stopped on the road and watched a few grizzlies eating some berries.
This tour is great! There’s a lot of flexibility throughout the day and the crew helps you plan it accordingly. Lewis was our guide. He gave everyone one on one advice. Our day was full, busses were on schedule and we had a great experience
I cannot say enough about the Hop On Hop Off Banff Team and our guide, Tyler. This is a perfect way to see Johnson Canyon, Lake Louise, and Moraine Lake, but they go above and beyond! We had a medical emergency on the way to Lake Louise that involved needing insulin. Tyler immediately got on the phone to see if there was any at the clinic in Lake Louise. By the time we arrived in LL, he had found out there was none there, found us the nearest pharmacy in Banff and a bus ride back there for us. He kept in touch with us the entire time and we were even able to rejoin the tour, missing only the Lake Louise stop. I would highly recommend this tour and this group to anyone!
Absolutely fantastic way to see Banff’s lakes! We had an amazing experience with HopOnBanff, and our tour guide, Lewis, was a huge part of what made it so special. He was funny, informative, and genuinely made the entire day feel effortless and enjoyable. The hop-on/hop-off system is fantastic—you can easily customize your day, and the staff works with you to create the perfect itinerary. Everything was stress-free and always on time, with the added bonus of a guaranteed seat. And there’s no missing the bus! The bright yellow school bus stands out among a parking lot full of white tour buses, making it incredibly easy to find. If you want to see Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, and the other incredible sights around Banff without the hassle of driving and parking, I can’t recommend HopOnBanff enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
