Der archäologische Komplex von Sillustani (Grabtürme) befindet sich auf dem Hochplateau, umgeben von einer magischen Lagune namens Umayo von atemberaubender Schönheit in der westlichen Stadt Puno. Sillustani ist eine der wichtigsten Nekropolen der Andenwelt, die für ihre gigantischen Grabtürme "CHULLPAS" bekannt ist. Die berühmten Chullpas sind aus Stein gebaute Türme, die von verschiedenen Kulturen genutzt wurden, darunter die Collas und später die Inkas. Der Chullpa der Eidechse ist mit einer Höhe von mehr als 12 Metern der höchste Standort. In der Nähe kann man einige Waru Waru sehen, die künstliche Erdhügel sind, die die Pflanzen vor Frost und Überschwemmungen schützen sollen. Mit etwas Glück können Sie in Sillustani auch wilde Schweine Indiens, Vögel wie Flamingos und andere wilde Tiere der Hochanden beobachten.

Die Abholung von Ihrem Hotel erfolgt um 14:00 Uhr ohne privaten Bus. Die archäologische Stätte von Sillustani erreichen Sie nach etwa 45 Minuten. Hier sehen Sie Grabstätten der Inkas und der Vorinkas. Anschließend besuchen Sie die Umayo-Lagune, bevor Sie nach Puno zurückkehren. Sie kehren gegen 17:30 Uhr nach Puno zurück.

Lovely day with a terrific guide, Esteban. The site was beautiful and very interesting. Stops along the way offered great views of Puno and a visit at a local’s home where we learned about foods and culture.
Excellent half-term tour! The guide Alejandro made all the difference with his sympathy and knowledge. The route is great, passing through the Puma Mirador, visiting a local family and ending in the impressive ruins of Sillustani. The archaeological site is next to a wonderful lake, which brings a unique atmosphere of peace to the place. I highly recommend!

Bit of a rocky start as we were picked up on foot and then stood awkwardly on a corner for about 20 mins or more waiting to be picked up on a big bus - however the tour itself was really fun and super informative: we had an excellent guide who was full of info and gave a really thorough tour of the site.

Overall, the trip was very informative. Our group was bilingual so the group did the tour in Spanish in English. There are two things that I didn’t like. The first is that the tour went two hours past the time that it said that it was going to end, which made me late forother plans that I have that evening. The second is that when it started raining the tour guide ran off and left us behind. I wish that he would’ve waited for us.

Tour was very good and guide was knowledgeable and very helpful with my friend who was having some difficulties walking the steps.
This trip exceeded our expectations. Our guide spoke good English, was well informed and enthusiastic and provide lot of additional stories about the life of local people. We had a couple of small but interesting, genuine and engaging stops, especially a visit of a local farmer where we learned about their daily life, diet, and crop treatment (note the best prices for hand made souvenirs). The final stop at Silusstani and the visit of impressive burial towers (chullpas) is an absolute MUST when touring Puno. This is a treat for those interested to learn more about pre-Inca and Inca civilizations and those who would appreciate a stunning landscape for photographs. Absolutely worth it.
