Halbtagesausflug zu den Drachhöhlen

Beschreibung

The concert and boat trip in the lake are amazing
Interesting tour. Caves are a must see on the island of Mallorca.
Too much crowded, too tight schedule. Tour Image was falsely market as easy boat trip thru The caves. The path was horribly shady and slippery and people were rushed to movie in tight formation. Pearl Shop visit IS pointless without any info on produce. The guide was rude to customers.
This tour was extremely disappointing and nowhere near worth the price charged. The logistics alone were frustrating. We had to take multiple buses to reach the destination and multiple buses on the way back, and every single one was late. To make matters worse, the staff were consistently rude. On the first bus, we were instructed to sit separately despite there being available seats together. Calling him a "guide" is generous. He did not actually guide us through anything. He never accompanied us on a tour, provided little to no useful information, and seemed to serve no clear purpose beyond directing people from one place to another. The tour is advertised as a five-hour cave tour, but we only spent about 1 hour in the caves themselves. A significant portion of the day was instead devoted to an unsolicited stop at a shop that had nothing to do with the advertised experience. It was difficult not to conclude that there is some business arrangement between the shop and the tour company, with customers being brought there for commercial reasons rather than for any benefit to the tour. The comfort level was also poor. While waiting between transfers, the buses were left without adequate cooling, forcing passengers to sit in excessive heat. Each time we reboarded, the bus was uncomfortably hot and everyone was left sweating through the journey. Overall, the experience felt poorly organized, misleadingly advertised, and highly unprofessional. For the amount of money charged, this felt less like a premium excursion and more like a complete disregard for customers' time, comfort, and expectations.
Where do we start?!?! We have so many negative things to say, honestly can’t think of a single good thing about this trip. It was a glorified full day bus ride. 1. Pickup time and location was confusing, and not well explained during booking and there was conflicting information on our tickets. 2. Being picked up in Paguera unnecessarily adds at least 3 additional hours to your trip. 3. Then we learned that there was no boat ride!!! The tour guide gaslit everyone on the bus into thinking there was never a boat ride!!! Then why does every picture of the tour have a photo of a boat?!?! Ok, so to clarify, there actually is a boat, but more on that later…. But for now, 4. you should know that the tour of the caves is on foot, self guided, very crowded, too short, and underwhelming. In fact, this should not be called a tour at all, it’s a 30 minute walk through a beautiful cave that they have completely ruined, and made unenjoyable. There were at least 300 people on the walk through the caves all at the same time, probably closer to 500. They let everyone in at once in one big flush. They ushered you along, barely allowing for a moment to take a photo, not allowing for any stopping on the path. There was no airflow through the cave so the whole time you were breathing stale stinky air shared by everyone. Smelling their breath and body odor the whole way. Then They herded the entire crowd into an area of theater style seating, we were way in the back and couldn’t see. We listened to musicians play classical music from boats for about 10 minutes and then were told the show was over. At this point you were either directed to exit the cave or given the option to wait in a line 200 people deep to ride a boat for 2 minutes to cross the water. We were back on the bus with barely enough time to grab a coffee to use the restroom. 5. Upon departure we were told we would be stopping at the pearl museum and store. This was was clearly a favor to the pearl store…a way to get a captive audience to spend money on overpriced fake pearls. There was no museum, no factory or observation of manufacturing, just sales people and display cases. 6. Then began the long trip home. At this point you may be asking, what about time to eat…nope…no time was given to replenish energy, during an 8 hour bus trip!!! And food was prohibited on the bus. And you should also know there isn’t a lavatory on the bus either, so you better dehydrate yourself to make this possible. We stopped a half hour prior to Palma to allow our tour guide off at his home, and thank goodness because at this point I really wanted his repetitive and pointless babble to end, so I didn’t even mind that he didn’t have to suffer with us. He clearly didn’t want to be there either. 7. Anyway, we got dropped off nearly last even though we were picked up first. Totaled 8 hours for the trip, no food, barely time for a restroom break or a coffee. Thankfully we had taken our own water Along. Oh, almost forgot, when we got back, we were kicked off the bus at a bus stop, not where we were picked up, along a busy road, with no sidewalk. We had no idea where we were and had to figure it out in our own because with the tour guide gone hours prior, there was no one left to speak English and tell us how to get back where we started. To sum it up, Lemon Tours sucks. I would personally love to go around and collect up their brochures and start a bonfire.
I want to emphasize the guide in charge of the vidita to the drach caves, she is called SOFI, very professional giving information in several languages of where we were and where we would go.
