With all due respect for the guide we had, who was also nice, I expected a guide during the tour in the cave and not just to pass the time during the trip from Alcudia to Porto Cristo! In my opinion, it is not well described. There are various stops where you can be picked up by the bus around Alcudia; it takes almost an hour and a half by bus during which the guide mainly gives the rules to follow and the meeting points. You arrive at the site, and the guide gets off the bus to collect the tickets (with priority over others, but they are almost all followed by guides). We all get off; from here on, the guide NO LONGER FOLLOWS US! We all line up, mixed with others, and enter at the scheduled time. You walk for about 1 km downhill inside the cave to admire stalactites, etc.; everyone arrives at the end where a very suggestive concert of about 10 minutes will take place. At the end of the concert, you can choose whether to go back up via a small bridge or cross the Martel lake with VARIOUS organized boats. You ascend with a final short walk. Duration of the internal tour of the cave is 1 hour! They say we have time to go to the pearl show-room (beware of terrible reviews) or to Porto Cristo, but the available time is only about 30 minutes, and you only get to see the small harbor with two restaurants.

La visita all'interno delle grotte è libera. Questo non vale solo per la nostra escursione, ma per tutte le compagnie, poiché il percorso interno è gestito esclusivamente dall'amministrazione delle Cuevas del Drach. Nessuna guida può accompagnare i visitatori all'interno. La differenza è tutto ciò che accade prima e dopo la visita: organizzazione, tranquillità, assistenza, sicurezza e supporto continuo. Senza una guida, i clienti devono gestire autonomamente gli orari, i punti d'incontro e tutta la logistica, con il rischio di perdere il pullman o avere difficoltà in caso di problemi. Guide (Ester) and driver were very good and knowledgeable, we were taking directly to the queue to enter the caves and met at other side. Ester took time to make sure everyone understood as the group was multi-lingual, went over and above.

This excursion is definitely worth doing. After the concert, you will be picked up by boat to get out of the cave. That took us a bit too long. Our guide was friendly and helpful.

The caves were amazing. The multiple caverns are huge and go on and on. I felt a little rushed in the beginning. Feels like they try to quickly herd people through. But there is so much to see, if you miss something in the beginning, there is plenty more to see. The concert was great. It’s very touristy… but kind of a must do if you are here.

The Dragon's Cave is a place to be considered as a destination. The stalactites and stalagmites are incredibly beautiful and the water in the cave is so clear that you can see through to the underground. The small concert at the end was also pleasant for the ears. Unfortunately, the boat trip was extremely short, which also makes sense considering that there are always extremely many people in the cave at the same time and longer boat trips for everyone would last for hours. Our round trip was super organized and executed by our tour guide Katharina and our bus driver Miguel. Very nice and courteous people

If you taking this trip from the Mallorca cruise terminal it’s a 15 min ride to location meet then a 45 min bus ride to caves Caves where wonderful could of done without the concert but it was an expierence Taxi ride is 20 euros there and 20 euros back so an xtra 40 on top of tickets and bus ride it’s a long walk if you attempt to walk it to meeting point it’s by the cathedral across the street all the way at the end better off a taxi ride There is nothing around the caves no shopping except your usual gift shop

The meeting point by Palma Cathedral is central and easy to reach — many guests prefer a short taxi ride rather than walking from the cruise terminal. Once at the caves, it’s true that the focus is on the natural wonder itself, with only a small gift shop and café available on site. Service was good for the tour, but the actual caves were underwhelming and children were bored. Maybe if you are into caves you may enjoy it.

A gorgeous experience seeing the caves and a great day out and one of a kind, would recommend for couples and those who will fully appreciate the orchestra too. Once you arrive you're pretty much free to do what you want which is around 3 hours, more than enough time. Would be a struggle for anyone who can't climb stairs well though. The only downside is that if you're picked up first, the bus is about 90 minutes.

As for the bus ride, you're right — if you're picked up early in Alcudia or Can Picafort, it can take around 90 minutes. However, we always try to optimize the route with fewer pick-ups than other companies, and our comfortable air-conditioned coaches help make the journey smoother.
Worth seeing cave. But you have to be aware from the outset that it will be a mass event. The employees push you through the aisles with their flashlights.

Wir geben auf der Fahrt dorthin alle wichtigen Informationen, damit unsere Gäste wissen, was sie erwartet, und wir sind stets bemüht, eine entspannte An- und Abreise sowie ausreichend Zeit für den Besuch zu ermöglichen.
