Reiseverlauf

The meeting point in front of the mall was easy to find. Mauro was there on time with the bikes and helmets. We got to bike through and make stops in like 6 different districts of Quito. Mauro knows a lot about the history of Quito. We stopped at a craft market to get souvenirs, a coffee shop, several churches, a lookout point and chocolate shop. Bring small bills for all the stops. The tour can range from 4-6 hours depending on how long you stop and how many districts you want to see. Eat a good breakfast before this tour. I think this is the best way to see the most of Quito if you only have one day there. I think its a great value for the money. We always felt safe and Mauro made sure we didnt fall behind.
Mauro was a fantastic guide. We are in our 60s and he definitely adjusted the trip to our level. The bikes were excellent. Helmets, water and gloves were provided. English and knowledge of history, culture and restaurants were outstanding! There were several resting stops along the way including one to the artisan center, a coffee stop and and icecream stop!We both highly recommend this experience!
Our day with Mauro was excellent. The meet up instructions were easy and he sent us a photo. The bikes are in very good condition, we had no problems with them. Mauro provided a nice helmet, gloves, water, and a snack. We were able to store our rain jackets in the pannier. Mauro told us so much history about the old and new sections of town, Ecuador, culture. He was very tuned into our energy level and recommended a snack break when we began to feel peckish. He also had good recommendations for where and what to eat since we wanted traditional Ecuadorian food. Riding was in bike lanes and sometimes with the traffic. I am not accustomed to city riding but never felt unsafe. There were a few big hills but the bikes have good gears. I would definitely take this bike tour again
Thank you for such a good review! It was a pleasure exploring the city with you. I’m glad you felt safe throughout the ride and that the equipment—from the bikes to the gear—met your expectations. I believe the best way to see the "Old and New" sections of town is by bike, and I’m happy I could share our history and culture with you. It is always a priority for me to stay tuned to my guests' energy and ensure we find the best local flavors along the way. I look forward to riding with you again on your next visit! Best regards, Mauro Andrade
Fantastic tour! Would highly recommend it to anyone who likes riding bikes and loves learning about the history of Quito. The lemonade coffee and chocolate factory were also highlights.
Thank you so much for the fantastic review! It was a pleasure sharing the history of Quito with you from the saddle of a bike. I’m thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our stops at the chocolate factory and for some lemonade coffee—those are definitely some of my favorite local highlights to share! Providing a mix of active exploration and authentic local flavors is what we strive for at Nantu Ecuadorian Experience. I truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to see you back for another ride in the future! Best regards, Mauro Andrade
I had an amazing experience with Mauro today. It was a perfect day where we biked all around Quito and saw some of the best sights all while riding our bikes through the busy streets. Mauro was knowledgeable, kind and very personable. I learned so many things about Quito and its history and enjoyed our little stops to try local drinks, chocolate’s and to digest the wonderful views. The bike ride itself was moderately hard, with some difficult hills, but Mauro paced the ride so well I never felt like I was lagging behind. Also he takes wonderful pictures which is a plus for a solo traveler like me. Book this tour you won’t regret it!
Thank you so much for the fantastic review! It was a true pleasure to explore the streets of Quito with you. I’m glad you enjoyed the local flavors, from the chocolate to the traditional drinks, and that the pace of the ride felt just right despite those challenging hills! As a guide, I love capturing those special moments, so I’m thrilled the photos turned out great for your solo journey. Sharing the history and views of my city with such a kind guest is what makes my job wonderful. I hope to see you back in Ecuador for another adventure soon! Best regards, Mauro Andrade
very good bike tour, and you will enjoy it.one of the best way to explore the quito city. I highly recommend it.and thanks again to mauro.
This was an exceptional activity and a must do on Quito. We saw many incredible districts that I would not have seen otherwise! Mauro was a fun and amazing guide. Highly recommend to everyone visiting the city!
We had such a great day out with Mauro as our guide . He provided us with great bikes and Mauro showed us hidden places around the city that we would never have found ourselves . He was fun and very informative about all aspects of Ecuadorian culture . Would highly recommend . Thanks for a fabulous day Mauro
Great to hear that you enjoyed our ride around the city, and the places that we visited. Hope to see you next time when you come back to Ecuador
I recommend this tour with Mauro to anybody visiting Quito who wants to see the city with a knowledgeable guide, all while enjoying the fresh air and getting some light exercise. Mauro is a great guy to hang out with…very personable. He is also very knowledgeable. He provided us with a lot of information about Quito, Ecuador, the Andean region, and the history of it all. I asked a lot of questions and he competently answered all of them. He picks a good pace, deftly guides through the city on a path with the least interaction with traffic, and stops to point out landmarks and give explanations. I felt the whole time that he was adjusting for a pace that we were comfortable with. Before we took the bike tour we had walked around Old Town, but being in a bike allows you to see so much more at your own pace. We stopped in museums, visited shops we wouldn’t have found on our own, and he seems to know the best places to get great views. My appreciation for the city increased tenfold after our tour.
Mauro is an excellent guide! It wasn’t only about biking in the city but more about culture and different places and the stories behind it. He was very kind to wait and spend time with us in all the places we wanted to stop. We had a four year old with us, you can imagine how that would have been and he was Great! Can’t recommend this tour enough :) great way to understand a bit about the history and culture of the beautiful city of Quito! He took us to a chocolatier and that is HANDS down the best chocolate and brownie we’ve had. If in Quito def take his tour.
