Einer der interessantesten Orte Islands aufgrund seiner geologischen und historischen Bedeutung. Es hält das Treffen der amerikanischen und eurasischen tektonischen Platten ab, aber auch dieser Ort wurde ausgewählt, um die Generalversammlung zu feiern. Hier wurde das isländische Parlament um 930 v. Chr. Gegründet.
Obwohl dieser wunderschöne Wasserfall nicht zu den größten des Landes zählt, ist er aufgrund seiner Lage und seiner historischen Bedeutung einer der beliebtesten Wasserfälle der Isländer
Wir werden die Milchviehfarm Efstidalur besuchen, um ein Eis zu essen und um auch isländische Kühe und andere Tiere zu besuchen.
Das geothermische Gebiet von Geysir ist ziemlich beeindruckend, wo Sie Zeuge werden, wie der Geysir Strokkur alle fünf Minuten ausbricht.
Der donnernde Gullfoss-Wasserfall steht als kraftvolles und hypnotisierendes Naturphänomen an erster Stelle
Nach dem Mittagessen (nicht inbegriffen) auf dieser Tomatenfarm erhalten wir einen Einblick in die Prozesse des Gewächshausgartens mit einem kurzen und informativen Vortrag zu diesem Thema. Friðheimar züchtet auch Islandpferde, so dass wir einige von ihnen sehen und streicheln können.
Es ist einer von mehreren Kraterseen in der Gegend, die als westliche Vulkanzone Islands bekannt sind, einschließlich der Reykjanes-Halbinsel und des Langjökull-Gletschers, die entstanden sind, als sich das Land über einen lokalisierten Hotspot bewegte, aber es ist derjenige mit der am besten erkennbaren Caldera noch intakt.

Diese E-Mail enthält eine Beschreibung unseres Autos, einschließlich eines Fotos und eines Kennzeichens. Wir geben in der E-Mail auch den Namen des Reiseleiters an. Unser Fahrer/Reiseleiter wird immer anhalten, aus dem Auto steigen und nach Ihnen suchen. Er wird den Abholpunkt nicht verlassen, es sei denn, er kann Sie nicht finden. - Wenn Sie in der Innenstadt übernachten und den Namen Ihres Hotels nicht in der Liste finden, müssen Sie die Bushaltestelle benutzen, die Ihrer spezifischen Unterkunft zugewiesen ist. Diese Bushaltestellen wurden von der Stadt Reykjavik eingerichtet, um den Verkehr von Bussen und größeren Fahrzeugen in den manchmal engen Straßen in den älteren Teilen von Reykjavik einzuschränken.

The tour was conducted in a professional way all on time. Our guide also managed to stop at additional stopovers over and above that was mentioned in the itinerary.
A good trip and everyone says it is a must when visiting Iceland , saw some amazing things but areas are extremely crowded due to popularity and whilst sites are great , we definitely saw better elsewhere in Iceland. Did not really get long enough at each site and it felt rushed all day. Also wasted a lot of time at a dairy farm for buying ice cream which was unnecessary and felt like a kick back for tour guides.

We spent the day with Simon the Spicy Viking while touring the Golden Circle of Iceland. He kept us entertained & laughing throughout the 9 hour tour. All of the stops were great and our small group was the perfect size. I would highly recommend this tour w/Simon when you’re in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Excellent tour. The guide was great, so knowledgeable. It was a nice small group, we met lovely people and the tomato farm was very interesting. My only complaint was the pick up. I didn't find out until 2 days before that the pick up wasn't at the hotel.... having never been to Iceland before, it was daunting and then the added expense of the taxi.
