Such a beautiful tour! Tony was great and full of information! He even made sure we were back on our cruise ship on time!
Fun trip, lots of explanations, safe driver
A great excursion that lasts for the day & seems well priced (although we paid for it as a package). We did this tour back in December 2018, the main difference we observed were the increases in pathways for accessibility & facilities at locations. This was most evident at Geysir. It is a busy day, you are whisked around at a fairly quick speed but there is plenty of time for lunch. Our guide Albert was very knowledgeable about the trip & had some local connections to the areas we visited, such information made it better than our 2018 trip. Arni & Albert made sure everything ran on time to faultless precision which we greatly appreciated. More trips with the pair of them please! :)
Exceptional experience with knowledgeable and accommodating local guides. I spent the day thinking about when I could come back to Iceland!
The Golden Circle with Friðheimar greenhouse tour was excellent! We went on August 11 with Albert as the tour guide (I unfortunately forgot his first name and the drivers name!). The driver did a great job getting us safely and quickly to our destinations and Albert provided interesting facts and trivia along the way! The Greenhouse was extremely cool. Seeing how Icelanders have used their environment to grow different crops was very interesting, and the food and drinks were excellent! Geysír was very cool, I loved seeing both the large geyser and the smaller ones around. Gullfoss was absolutely beautiful and breathtaking, and learning the history of the region of Þhingvellir was very interesting!
The overall experience was excellent from the beginning to the end. All sites we saw were unique and beautiful. The guide Dylan was very knowledgeable, made all stories memorable and was ready to answer any questions. All in all, this was a highlight of our time in Iceland!
It made all the difference to have such an incredible driver and guide like Dylan! An amazing passionate person filled with knowledge :)
Excellent tour. Well organized and Dylan our guide was very informative. I thought he must be a geologist based on his knowledge. Excellent value for the money. Pickup and drop off was easy.
A highly recommended tour! Kris and Siggi were super. There is nothing more to say about it. Thank you

I had a 18 hour layover in Iceland and was planning to just explore Reykjavik for the day. On the bus ride from the airport to BSÍ station, I stumbled across this tour in a visitor’s pamphlet. Value-wise, I would say this is a great bang for your buck. I paid a little over $100 for an 8 hour bus tour, which included four hour-long stops at some really significant and beautiful sites. When planning for this layover, I’d debated renting a car, the cheapest of which would’ve been $218 and likely wouldn’t have been allowed to drive on some of the rough gravel roads we went on during this tour. Maybe if I came for a longer time, then renting a car would’ve made more sense - I might’ve covered more of the spots I’d been hoping to hit (e.g. Gígvatnsvatn, Indjánahöfði, etc). But for a short, budget-constrained trip, this was by far the best option - even compared to catching some sleep at a hostel, hotel, or bed & breakfast, most of which have 3 or 4pm as the earliest check-in time (I got into Keflavik at 6:30am). The tour itself was magical. Our tour guide, Dori, has a soft, conversational, and soothing voice - kind of what you might come across in one of those relaxing educational YouTube videos. He clearly has a great deal of knowledge of and pride in his country, but it wasn’t shoved down our throats - it was shared thoughtfully, respectfully, and with a light heart. I also appreciated that we stopped for fairly long periods of time at these spots - about an hour at each one. I’ve been on bus tours where you only stop for 15-20 minutes, so this was very special. We got the photo opps, but we also got time to soak in the experience and really explore. We also had several opportunities to grab a bite to eat or stock up on supplies. And the tour bus has USB power outlets, so I charged my phone along the way. Overall, a stellar and unexpected experience!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review! We’re truly delighted that you enjoyed your experience and found the tour a great choice for your layover. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with Dori as well. We hope to welcome you back to Iceland someday! Best regards, Magdalena
