Beschreibung
Das Naturschutzgebiet ist ein Zufluchtsort für viele, zum Teil bedrohte Tierarten, wie der in der gleichnamigen Lagune lebende Wasservogel Canclón und das in anderen Gebieten der Insel bereits verschwundene Krokodil der Küste Küste. Aufgrund der Vielfalt und der großen Ausdehnung der aquatischen Umwelt, die das Schutzgebiet schützt, wurde es im Jahr 1990 zum Ramsar-Gebiet erklärt, einer internationalen Anerkennung für Feuchtgebiete von großer Bedeutung.

This is a jam-packed full tour!! We had so much fun with Jefferson, Orlando and Ronald! Gosh the laughs!! Of course the sites were amazing! The lunch at the Cacao & Mango was incredible!! And plentiful!! I highly recommend it!

Good experience especially seeing howler monkeys and so many different types of birds and also saw wild live shrimps The host at the cocoa plantation were superb Only issue was slightly deficient explanation by the tour guide to make things more meaningful (English) speaking guide

My friend and I had a fantastic experience on this day trip. Jefferson was a great tour guide and was very knowledgeable about the area. We spotted a lot of different birds at the Mangrove, and we got to experience the unique sounds of the Howler monkeys. The day ended with a trip to a cacao farm, here we made our own chocolate and learned about the history of the cacao in Ecuador. We were treated to a 3 course lunch here and it was by far the nicest meal we had on our Ecuador trip. I would highly recommend this day trip if you’re in Guayaquil, 5* experience.
