Reiseverlauf

Exploring Guayaquil with Julio as my guide and Andre as my driver was a super experience! Julio was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the city, while Andre made every part of the journey smooth and comfortable. As a solo traveler, I especially appreciated how safe and well cared for I felt throughout the entire experience. Julio and Andre were attentive, professional, and made me feel completely at ease while exploring the city. Some of the highlights were seeing the beautiful sights from the cable car, admiring the stunning cathedral and vibrant art district, and visiting Iguana Park! Julio brought the history, culture, and character of Guayaquil to life with his insight. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Guayaquil, especially solo travelers. They didn’t just show me the city—they made my experience feel safe, personal, and truly memorable!
What a wonderful experience. Our tour guide Antonio did a wonderful job of showing us this beautiful city. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Guayaquil and the love he feels shows. Our driver Roberto was great and drove us safely fromm place to place. I highly recommend this tour.
Julio, our guide, and Andre, our driver, were exceptional. The city exceeded our expectations, we felt very safe and was exceptionally clean. Julio and Andre kept us moving, from a park at the top of a hill with a great view, to the sky tram across the city and river, ending with the Malecon and old city. Julio was highly engaging and very proud of his city and we now understand why. We would definitely recommend this tour and visiting Guayaquil.
Like many American tourists, my son and I were on our way to Galapgos, with 24 hours to kill in Guayquil before our flight, and expected little to write home about with the layover time. Wow, was I wrong. Having completed the trip, my first story of the vacation starts with my ProTrip tour and time spent with Francisco and Andrew, our guides. Communicating with the team to schedule an airport pickup and a custom lunch, tour, and actviites was super easy, mostly done over WhatsApp. Then our flight got changed- and again, communicating the change in plans was smooth and easy, but we were late and would need to change plans. No problem. The ProTrip team pivoted, asked if we were still up for a tour. Given the travel challenges, we asked for a brief tour and pub crawl instead. No problem. Andrew drove while Francisco showed us the sights of Guayquil- a ride on the Gondola transit system (unique and kinda awesome) over a river, followed by a walk through a gorgeous old church and the goverment buildings en route to Malecon 2000 (think long, cool riverwalk), and then a walk up the old town steps with a few drinks along the way. Francisco had the energy of a professional tour guide- full of energy. But it was his pride in his city and country that was contagious. We felt like we were getting a true feel of the city. A trip to a local hat maker followed. The gang was having such fun, Francisco and Andrew were kind enough to take us to a local crab restaurant, which is the local favorite in Guayquil. It was a special meal, with those two ordering the local delicacies for us. We ended the evening at 11 PM- having scheduled a 3 hour tour, my son and I made it back to the hotel after 9 hours with the team. Unbelievable hospitality. Lastly, we had the opportunity to try "miracle fruit"- which tricks the taste buds into thinkng sour and acidic flavors are super sweet! Google it- miracle fruit is quite the experience. I cannot recommend ProTrip highly enough. It was the feather in the cap of a wonderful Galapagos adventure. Thank you, Francisco!
We have enjoyed the tour very much and all thanks to our guide Walther. Very kind at all times and attentive. Also highlight the driver Danilo, in addition to explaining various things about Ecuador/Guayaquil he was very attentive and helpful. You feel very safe at all times and it is very worth it to discover Guayaquil with them.
I had such a wonderful time on the Best Highlights of Guayaquil tour! My guide, Jose, was amazing and so friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to. I was traveling solo, but it honestly felt like I was exploring the city with a friend rather than taking a tour by myself. We visited all the highlights on the itinerary, including Parque Seminario, the cathedral, Malecón 2000, and Las Peñas. Along the way, we also tried some local treats, including ice cream, chocolate, bread, and a delicious peach slushy drink. Riding the cable cars was another highlight and gave me a great view of the city. Jose also went above and beyond by taking fabulous pictures of me throughout the tour, which I really appreciated as a solo traveler. I came away with great memories, beautiful photos, and a much better feel for Guayaquil. I would definitely recommend this tour, especially to solo travelers. Ask for Jose if you can he made the experience extra special!
Spent a wonderful day with Julio Rosas of Pro Trip. Saw many highlights of Guayaquil : views of city, Cathedral , Chocolate Museum, stroll through art district and new part of town. We always felt safe and were impressed with how vibrant the city is. Julio is knowledgeable, super friendly and a delightful guide to travel with.
We had a very experienced and knowledgeable guide, Francisco. We learned a lot about the area, history and the culture. Thank you to Francisco for a wonderful day and to Andrew, who was our driver.
This was absolutely the best private tour we have taken anywhere in the world we have been! Julio and Andre worked in sync for pick up and drop offs. Excellent knowledge. We felt like we were traveling around with a family member and that’s how we were treated. They even went off script and found a local tackle shop for me to look around. Would recommend to everyone!!!
The experience we had on our tour was very pleasant. Both Julio and André provided us with excellent service. The places we visited were completely to our liking and the information they shared with us was very interesting. Without a doubt, I would recommend this tour. Don't miss the opportunity to have a very pleasant experience.
