Das raue und wilde Lavafeld von Berserkjahraun bietet die Möglichkeit, eine typische isländische Landschaft zu betrachten. Das Lavafeld wurde vor über 4000 Jahren gegründet und ist Teil vieler weltbekannter Wunder der mittelalterlichen Literatur, der isländischen Sagen.
Dies ist der berühmteste Berg Islands, zusammen mit dem nahe gelegenen Wasserfall Kirkjufellsfoss ist es eine perfekte Bildlage. Gepflegte Pfade bedeuten, dass Sie leicht um die Sehenswürdigkeit wandern und die natürliche Schönheit bestaunen können.
Der Snæfellsjökull-Nationalpark auf der Halbinsel Snæfellsnes im Westen Islands ist für seine atemberaubenden Landschaften und geologischen Besonderheiten bekannt. Der 2001 gegründete Park wird vom Vulkan Snæfellsjökull dominiert, auf dessen Spitze ein Gletscher steht und der in Jules Vernes „Reise zum Mittelpunkt der Erde“ eine berühmte Rolle spielt. Der Park umfasst zerklüftete Küsten, Lavafelder und eine vielfältige Flora und Fauna und bietet Wanderwege und atemberaubende Ausblicke. Er enthält auch kulturelle und historische Stätten wie alte Fischerdörfer und Wikingersiedlungen, was ihn zu einem beliebten Ziel für Natur- und Geschichtsliebhaber macht.
Sehen Sie den schwarzen Sandstrand Djúpalónssandur mit seiner reichen Geschichte. Einst ein beliebtes Revier zum Angeln, ist das Meer jetzt leer, da Boote anderswo hingezogen sind. Alles, was bleibt, ist das Wrack eines britischen Trawlers auf dem schwarzen Sand und mehrere "Hebesteine". Mit diesen Hebesteinen hätte man die Stärke potenzieller Fischer testen können und nun kann man versuchen, ob man den Schnitt auch geschafft hätte!
Wunderbare Felsformation, die Felsen sind 75 und 61 Meter hoch. Aus dem künstlichen Ozean ragen diese beiden Felsspitzen aus vulkanischen Basaltpfropfen, die ein wahrhaft atemberaubendes Werk der Natur sind.
Arnarstapi ist ein skurriles und niedliches isländisches Fischerdorf mit einer reichen Geschichte, die bis zu den Wikingern zurückreicht. Genießen Sie einen atemberaubenden Spaziergang entlang der Küste mit herausragenden Meeresklippen, die mit einer ungewöhnlichen Vielfalt von Seevögeln bevölkert sind. Die Gegend ist der perfekte Ort, um Fotos zu machen und die rohe Schönheit Islands zu genießen.
Anders als der andere Strand auf dieser Tour, Djúpalónssandur, hat dieser Strand den goldenen Sand, der Besuchern aus Übersee bekannter ist. Ytri Tunga ist eher wegen der Robbenkolonien bemerkenswert, die sich auf den Felsen direkt vor der Küste räkeln.
Die Budir Black Church ist eine markante kleine Kirche in einer trostlosen Landschaft. Es ist ein beliebtes Motiv für Fotografen und Sie haben die Möglichkeit, es bei diesem kurzen Fotostopp festzuhalten.

Never got to go on this trip due to rhe absolute chaos and unprofessional behavior of the guide who was responsible for picking us up at the port. 1- didn't arrive until 855am for a 8am pickup 2- bus was labeled for a different tour- golden circle, but she had our name, and those of 4 other people to go on this tour 3- got on the bus as directed with virtually no communication from the guide. I asked directly what was going on and if we are meeting another bus, she said yes and then radio silence. 4- get to a gas station where there were other busses, one pulled out as we came in, wondering if that is the bus we were supposed to go on, and the guide hops off to look for people, saying nothing to any of us on the bus needing to transfer, which she 100% knew that we were on another trip. 5- the bus takes off and she says the tour is starting. Myself and the other 2 groups immediately start to question what is going on, she was wildly unhelpful and started arguing with me that the gas station was the transfer point, to which we all expressed that she had not communicated that at all. 6- she continued to argue with us and stated that she would call the company, and that we may as well just stay on the trip and reach out to customer service to get a refund. Others called the company directly as they had already done the tour and didn't want to waste a day doing the same thing. The company provided a taxi to get them back to Reykjavík from the first site. We had that option but we're completely stuck as finding a tour at that point that would work was impossible. 7- we ended up staying on the tour as the other option was basically you're out of luck otherwise. The guide continued to disappoint, she was clearly reading off the scripts thst she had, was not personable and was very low energy. She was without a doubt the least suited person to guide a tour that I have encountered in any travel experience in Iceland or around the world. She also didn't even provide her name though the entire experience, clearly she didn't want to be referred to later on. At the end of the day when getting dropped off at the port she was making snarky comments about getting off at the right place. This was unnecessary and inappropriate and she should have just said farewell and apologized for her part in the horrible disorganization and communication. It was entirely unnecessary. I've been on other trips with Bus Travel Iceland at other locations which was lovely. This was without a doubt the most frustrating, disorganized, and disappointing tour I've ever been on. The company has offered a refund, which I'm waiting on receiving, and apologized, but 100% of the issues could have been prevented in the first place with even the most minimal communication.

Our day trip to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula was absolutely spectacular! We visited so many breathtaking places, each one more beautiful than the last. The landscapes were incredible, and the itinerary was perfectly planned. Our guide, Vjeran, was simply the best. He shared so much fascinating historical information and interesting facts throughout the tour, making every stop even more meaningful. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and friendly attitude made the experience unforgettable
We had a magnificent Icelandic adventure touring the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. The scenery was spectacular and the experience breathtaking. Our guide, Vjjeran, was outstanding!! He was steeped in knowledge of the area and Iceland in general. He even worked in a couple of extra stops along the way. We have done several tours in Iceland and enjoyed them all but this one was our favorite. I highly recommend it!!
