Nizwa Fort ist eine der ältesten Festungen im Oman und liegt im Gouvernement A'Dakhiliyah. Es hat eine einzigartige große runde Form. Seine Höhe erreicht 24 Meter, mit einem Außendurchmesser von 43 Metern und einem Innendurchmesser von 36 Metern. Das Nizwa Fort wurde Mitte des 17. Jahrhunderts von Imam Sultan Bin Saif Al Y`aribi gebaut.
Nizwa ist bekannt für seinen Silberschmuck, der als der beste des Landes gilt. Die Menschen in Nizwa sind Meister in der Herstellung von Khanjar, bekannt für ihren unverwechselbaren Stil und ihre Muster und allgemein bekannt für ihre Silberhandwerkskunst. Sie stellen auch Kupferwaren, Kaffeekannen, Schwerter, Lederwaren und Töpferwaren her.
Bahla ist eine Stadt, die zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe gehört, 40 km von Nizwa und etwa 200 km von Omans Hauptstadt Muscat entfernt, die in der Region Ad Dakhiliyah im Oman liegt. Es ist bemerkenswert als Heimat einer der ältesten Festungen des Landes, des Bahla-Forts aus dem 13. Jahrhundert und der Töpferei der Stadt.
Jabrin, auch bekannt als Jabreen, ist bekannt für seine beeindruckende Burg, die von der Yaruba-Dynastie Imam Bil'arab bin Sultan erbaut wurde, der von 1679 bis 1692 regierte und vor Ort begraben wurde.

As I did a customized tour, I visited only the Bahla fort and the Oman across ages museum. Both places were very interesting and worth of visiting if you are in Oman. My guide Amer was very knowledgeable about the history and the customs of his country.

Our private guide, Ahmed Alghammari, made this tour very enjoyable. His knowledge of each place we went to increased the value of our visits. He had a great sense of humor and was super friendly. We showed him some photos we found on Instagram, and he knew exactly where we needed to go to get those same shots. That saved us so much time! I’d definitely recommend this tour when you’re in Muscat. If you’re lucky enough to get Ahmed, you can expect a fun-filled day and you’ll learn things while you’re at it.

I had a wonderful day with Khalil As well as the main sites we tasted dates and halwa, and blue tea, saffron water and Omani bread. He is knowledgeable, a good driver and able to understand my Australian accent. I highly recommend him

Great tour sites to learn some of the history of Oman with a reasonable pace and the tour guide was excellent.
