Entdecken und erkunden Sie den umstrittenen Tempelkomplex Preah Vihear. Preah Vihear ist ein alter hinduistischer Tempel, der während der Zeit des Khmer-Reiches erbaut wurde und auf einer 525 Meter hohen Klippe in den Dângrêk-Bergen liegt. Preah Vihear liegt an der Grenze zu Thailand und war Gegenstand von mehr als einem Eigentumsstreit. Nach einem kurzen Halt in einem der Restaurants für ein traditionelles kambodschanisches Curry, Suppen oder Pfannengerichte geht es weiter ins ferne Koh Ker. Koh Ker ist der moderne Name für eine wichtige Stadt des Khmer-Reiches. In Inschriften wird die Stadt als Lingapura (Stadt der Lingams) erwähnt. Das beeindruckendste Bauwerk des Komplexes ist Prasat Thom/Prang, ein doppeltes Heiligtum, das einem linearen Plan folgt und nicht einem konzentrischen wie die meisten Tempel der Khmer-Könige. Einzigartig ist die 36 Meter hohe siebenstufige Pyramide, die höchstwahrscheinlich als Staatstempel diente. Dann besuchen Sie Beng Mealea, identisch mit Angkor Wat, aber kleiner.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Beng Mealea and Koh Ker today. The information and insights given by our guide Mr Sok Phally, were interesting and informative and he was ready and willing to answer any questions that we had. Sayoeun was an excellent tour guide! At each of the three temples he walked us through the history and construction of the sites. Throughout the day he also explained some of the agriculture practices and customs of the people in Cambodia making the long drives more interesting. Entrance to the parks is not included so make sure to buy the Koh Ker Pass and Angkor Wat pass online. The Preah Vihear pass we bought at the gate, maybe in the future it'll be online. Tips are encouraged at the end of the tour for the service of the driver and guide.

It was really nice experience The guide has the deep knowledge about the Khmer culture and history and of course for the temples itself Also the driver were so kinds that he provides me the water and refresher sheet every time I went back to the car. I could understand well about the history of Hindu through this tour. Although the price is bit expensive compared to hiring the driver only But worth paying if you have curious about the Khmer culture and history.
