Die Halbinsel liegt im Tafelberg-Nationalpark, der für seine unglaubliche Artenvielfalt weltbekannt ist. Das Naturschutzgebiet Kap der Guten Hoffnung erstreckt sich über die felsige Landzunge. Es handelt sich um ein geschütztes Naturschutzgebiet und die Heimat zahlreicher Antilopen, des seltenen Kapbergzebras und anderer einzigartiger Tierarten. Es ist auch ein Paradies für Meeresvögel: 250 registrierte Vogelarten kommen im Reservat vor. Cape Point ist das äußerst spitze Ende der Kaphalbinsel. Es ist ein sofort erkennbares Wahrzeichen und wird oft mit der südlichsten Spitze Afrikas verwechselt. Am Cape Point gibt es zwei nationale Kulturdenkmäler, die zu Ehren der berühmtesten Entdecker der Welt errichtet wurden: Vasco da Gama und Bartolomeu Dias (der 1488 als erster europäischer Entdecker Cape Point umrundete).

Wir machen uns auf den Weg zum Fischerdorf Hout Bay, über den spektakulären Chapman’s Peak Drive und in die malerische Küstenstadt Noordhoek. Die malerische Halbinselfahrt führt uns zum herrlichen Naturschutzgebiet Kap der Guten Hoffnung und zum Cape Point. In Hout Bay haben Sie die Möglichkeit, eine Bootsfahrt nach Seal Island zu unternehmen (nicht im Preis inbegriffen) oder am beliebten Mariner-Werft und Hafen spazieren zu gehen, wo Sie Freundschaft mit den freundlichen Robben schließen, die zum Streicheln vorbeischauen. Im Naturschutzgebiet Kap der Guten Hoffnung besuchen wir den berühmten Cape Point Lighthouse. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, einen kurzen, aber leicht steilen Spaziergang auf einem ausgetretenen Pfad zum Leuchtturm zu unternehmen oder mit der Standseilbahn nach oben zu fahren. Die Aussicht ist spektakulär und Sie können Wale und Delfine in der Bucht sehen.
Wir beenden den Morgen in Simons Town, einer legendären Marinestadt mit Blick auf die False Bay. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, die berühmte Pinguinkolonie am Boulders Beach zu besuchen (Eintrittsgebühr im Preis nicht inbegriffen) oder Zeit damit zu verbringen, die historische Hauptstraße von Simons Town entlang zu schlendern und in den malerischen Geschäften und Museen vorbeizuschauen. Eine Kleinigkeit zu essen und zu trinken (auf eigene Kosten) gibt es im Simons Town Mariner Wharf.
Nach dem Mittagessen kehren wir entlang der Küstenroute False Bay zurück nach Kapstadt und zum Botanischen Garten Kirstenbosch. Wir passieren die Küstenstädte Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay, St. James und Muizenberg. Die Straßen sind gesäumt von originellen Buchhandlungen, Vintage-Bekleidungsgeschäften, Surfshops und einer Reihe beliebter Restaurants und Feinkostläden am Meer. Unterwegs halten wir an, um durch die Straßen zu schlendern, ein bisschen einzukaufen, die Surfer in Muizenberg zu beobachten, Wale zu beobachten, wenn gerade Walsaison ist, und um Fotos von den berühmten bunten Strandhütten aus der Victoria-Ära zu machen.

We had a wonderful day on the Mo Afrika Full-Day Cape Peninsula Tour, and we were truly blessed to have Alfred as our guide. The tour was not what we expected. We didn’t do many of the stops that’s were planned on the itinerary which was a little bit disappointing. Our guide was okay although he seemed agitated and threatened to leave some of the clients if they were even a couple of minutes late to the meeting spots. Overall the tour was not what was advertised.
Amazing breathtaking tour, I was by myself with a very qualified and nice guide, Sentle, who drove and took me to the most beautiful places.
Great tour to get a quick taste of the beaches, peninsular and back into the city. Really not enough hours in the day to see and experience what this beautiful place has to share with us.

A tremendous day with MoAfrika tours and my guide for the day, Sentle. Early start to beach then a wee cruise to Seal Island then to Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point, a delicious lunch at Saveur and the best part of the day for me at Boulder Beach penguins. Guide Sentle was accommodating, friendly and knowledgable and whilst a long day, it was superb. Highly recommend this tour to everyone, stunning scenery and wildlife.
