It was a very nice, well-organized private tour. Our guide Yamil was fantastic. We saw dolphins and many seabirds beautifully.
Guide and driver were prompt and kind. The boat operator was competent and safe. We saw about twelve dolphins and many species of birds. The rose spoon bill was the best
Yamil (owner of Viasam) ensured this was a fantastic experience from start (private pick up from hotel) to finish (a delicious vegetarian meal with he and his wife in their own home ). The only other times I've had such a personalized approach to my wants and needs has been when visiting family and friends. The tour of the mangroves, the close encounter with dolphins, and the numerous bird sightings (roseate spoonbills being my favourites of the latter) were all excellent. More than even this, though, Yamil shared extensive holistic knowledge about Guayaquil in particular and Ecuador more broadly: both challenges and progress, especially in relation to balancing development and conservation. It's also clear he and his company have created meaningful ties with the local community, ensuring everyone benefits from the tour you take. Yamil made no promises he didn't more than keep, and was both flexible and agile in response to my preferences and plans. He contacted me early and maintained communication throughout. I recommend Viasam most highly, and had I known about their lovely home hostel (villa97) I would have stayed there instead of at a hotel.
An unforgettable experience, which allows us to learn more about the ecosystem and the importance of mangroves for Ecuador and its environment, as well as knowing the great effort that our fishermen make in an artisanal way. Jamil, very cordial and attentive with the information and requirements we maintained on the trip, a unique experience that would repeat it again.
Amazing diversity of birdlife combined with knowledgeable and supportive guides. Tailored to our physical abilities. Highly recommend
Extraordinary trip. We were shown an abundance of birdlife! The guides were so knowledgeable and gracious! We enjoyed their company and learned a lot.
Our guides were extremely accommodating and made sure we saw dolphins in the harbor, toured the island - the amount of birds was incredible! They even took us to a cacao plantation afterward on the way home where we were able to see the process in which cacao is produced and even drank some of their local cacao drink that was more like a slushee. They went out of their way to ensure we had a great day.
Such a great tour! Yamil and Simon were so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. They even sent us photos of the group, animals on the tour, and candid shots. We were able to see dolphins and many different species of birds. Fun tour for kids and adults interested in nature.
We had a great day on the mangrove tour with Simon and Yamil. Simon picked us up at our hotel and told us about the city of Guayaquil and Ecuador as we drove out of the city. It was a delightful trip to Puerto Morro about an hour from Guayaquil. Once on the boat ride, learned about fishing on the river, the mangroves, and the lovely birds. The dolphins were amazing. They popped up from the water, swam and played around the boat. We returned to Puerto Morro and had lunch at a local restaurant. We feasted on ceviche, fresh crab that Yamil ordered for us and plantains. It was a feast! We had to cut the tour a little short because we had to be back in Guayaquil for another tour. Simon and Yamil accommodated our needs. They also responded to my inquiries and were perfect hosts. If you have a chance, book this tour. You will not be disappointed.
Me and my 16 year old son absolutely loved doing this tour and would recommend it to ANYONE wanting to have an experience in Guayaquil and wanting to see animals without spending a fortune to go to the Galapagos. Our guide was awesome - super-friendly, helpful, considerate and extremely knowledgeable. I love Guayaquil and in my opinion, the media makes us see this city much darker than it is. Downtown Guayaquil has many many places to visit, there anyone can spend two days seeing so many beautiful tourist attractions, which make you feel like you haven't seen enough. thanks again
